Q: Can I prime a new oil pump with this? GM 5 cyl. oil pump.

YOU Must mix it with oil to make it really work. This is a Zinc additive to pregnate the metal and make it hold onto the new oils of today. It is NOT to be used as an oil substitute. Or at least that is what I understand from my fifty years in the automotive repair and engine building. I use this with a 50/50 to build my engines and I pour all that is left over into the oil pan before start. I also use it in all my cars/trucks/lawn mowers/motor homes for over 20 years. I have never had an engine build eat up cam bearings or pumps or mains and rod bearings upon start up. But that is my 2cents worth. P.S. I also use it every other oil change too.

Q: Can I use this on rubber gaskets and o-rings before installation?

I am not for sure how it affects o-rings and gaskets, but one of the other reviewers says it is "absolutely OK" for o-rings and rubber gaskets.

Q: Is this similar to 00 grease or more of a gear oil?

I haven't used 00 grease, but this stuff is like a very tacky/sticky oil. Kindve like a gear oil
