Best sub 100 drill press
For me, this is a very good price the build quality is very good and it is a versatile tool because unlike other gel presses in this price range, you can adjust the angle of the drilling. More than 2 inches of drilling would be nice, but you pay for what you get. It’s very nice and heavy cast-iron. And the performance is very good. The five speed function is also nice allowing you to drill through metals I have drilled through steel and as long as you use oil and a decent bit can get through pretty thick material

An amazing Drill Press!!!
This is far better than I could have expected for a drill press. I will be honest, I was very skeptical about ordering equipment for my woodshop online. I much rather go to a hardware store and look at my products face-to-face. However, I am so thankful I got the WEN drill press. I used to use my drill to put holes in the materials, and with that, you cannot have a clean-cut hole in your materials because your hands won't be as steady. This drill press makes very clean punctures into the wood I use. I like making those triangle peg games, and the drill performed above expectations in regards to how straight and clean the holes were. Pros: Easy to operate Setup was a breeze VERY QUIET Has different levels of speed you can change based on your project Cons: It can be tough to move the bands to change the speed levels There is little to no padding to keep the drill from gliding off the table when it is on. I have a clamp holding it down to my workbench. Changing bits can be challenging but not terribly complicated I can confidently say this is the best drill press on Amazon right now, An awesome 9/10!

Good for the price, but wabbles
You know, when you spend this little money on a tool this big, you can't expect many features, however you must expect that it at least works. For the most it works well. It's silent, which is a great plus for these kind of tools. Silent I mean in the sense of the hatch to be rattling, it has some robber stops that prevent that, it's good in this regard. There are several gear speeds for you to manually adjust, but you will end up just putting in the middle and leaving it there for the rest of your life. Assembly was quite easy, quite intuitive. For better results you better buy those drill press vises, otherwise you will have to keep clamping your piece against the tiny bed which is a pain. There is no laser guide. All and all it's good, quite heavy, the extension down of the head is OK, can't tell it's great, but goes decently down. Once assembled, it could potentially fit inside a cabinet, but I never really tried, it stays on the ground here nearby with a plastic cover. I like this tool overall, and only one thing I don't like: For some reason it wobbles the head when you install the drill bit on it, It's just a little, but it does. It wasn't bad enough to ruin any of my projects, but wanted to note here.

Needs setup; Great for home or hobby
Got this recently as part of a package deal (with the WEN 1x30 belt and disc combo sander) for hobbies and general home use. It is quiet, easily operated and has the speed adjustments I need for my stuff at home. It came needing assembly with the needed almost all the tools, and very clear directions for getting this done. Parts made of exposed metal came treated with either oil or cosmoline (smells soooo good) and these need to be cleaned off. The user manual advises acetone or similar cleaner for this. Setting up out of the box: The user needs to attach the press tower to the powder-coated cast-iron base (using your own wrench), the cast and machined-flat table to the press tower, and the drive assembly to the top of the tower. Once this is complete, the user needs to clean the mating surfaces of the chuck and spindle, then use a hammer to attach the chuck onto the spindle. I did this, tested the trueness of my chuck assembly, and discovered some wobble. A couple more medium whacks with the hammer, and the chuck was set nice and true. The table on mine was not squared to the drill bit axis. I used a long Philips screwdriver stuck in the chuck, handle side down, with a small carpenter's square, to get the left-to-right (X-axis) alignment correct. The indicators for degrees of tilt on the table should not be trusted out of the box. Luckily, the table is square front to back (Y-axis), as this is not adjustable on this model. I then adjusted the pulleys to the lowest speed, easily done with no tools. My impressions: Once set up, I was able to rattle off several small home and hobby projects that had been held up due to needing good, 90-degree holes made, including counter-sinking, using the chuck stop on the left side of the press. Get yourself some small C-clamps for holding work steady on the table (different hardnesses in the wood grain can can make pull your project out of alignment) and supply your own work light to shine on the project area, as one is not included with this model. *For the money* this is a good little beginner drill press that has met and, in some cases exceeded, my expectations. If you want more bells, whistles and convenience, spend more on another more expensive model. For occasional home and hobby uses, this is a great little press.

Perfect for youth group wood shop
Perfect for youth group wood shop. Runs nice and quiet, easy to assemble, seems accurate, a nice budget friendly entry-level drill press with a stop to control depth.

Excellent starter tool
This is an extremely solid drill press, keeping in mind my relative inexperience with drill presses. I had 4 drills, so I figured a DP was next. I don't use it a lot, but when I need it it doesn't let me down. And if I were to use it more, I know it would stand up to heavier use.

Unacceptable runout 👎
Easy to setup. Overall quality not bad. But chuck has unacceptable runout. Wouldn’t buy again so I couldn’t recommend 👎
