Original Thread Net Spool Saver - Thead Nets for Sewing Embroidery Mesh Spool Socks - Embroidery and Sewing Machine Thread Spools and Cones - Prevents Thread from Unwinding

Q: Where I've cut the netting are getting hopelessly tangled at the top and bottom of the spool. I tried folding the netting but it pops right back up.

I have cut mine shorter than the top of the thread where it meets the spool & just a fraction of an inch shorter at the bottom & I haven't had any problems with the thread tangling. Did you cut yours right where the plastic intersects or criss-crosses? Because that part, to me anyway, is stiffer than if you had cut between the criss-crosses.
