I'm very happy with the purchase. The table is sturdy, the wood is good quality, and the sanded finish makes it good to go as is. Easy to assemble as well. A very good deal and would buy again.

I wanted a solid wood desk for my mom but, didn't have $300 plus to spend on one at this time. I saw this particular desk on several websites but, Amazon definitely had the better price. I ordered it and was impressed by the weight (not too heavy and not so light that it seems cheap). The texture was very smooth although, there were a couple of spots that needed very light sanding with a very smooth sandpaper. I did it by hand. To personalize the desk and add an even more unique appearance, I used 4 different wood stains and created my own design. The wooden drawer pulls that came with the desk are ok but, for my mom😊, I wanted something to better complement the desk and my design. I purchased antique drawer pulls to enhance the color tones of the stain. The desk turned out much better than I expected and actually like it much better than the other finished desks that I viewed on various store websites. You really can't go wrong by purchasing this desk, especially if you are willing to take advantage of an opportunity to create something special. This desk is being used as a small writing table. I rate the quality, durability, design and price a 10 out of 10. It's simple to put together and definitely a space saver in comparison to other writing tables. It's slimmer and just a bit longer than a regular desk making it easy to write out bills etc. and slide completed paperwork to the side. It has two drawers that make storage possible. This is just a lovely item in every way!!!

This table stains very nicely and the wood that is used is very thick and sturdy. The unfinished wood is an awesome feature for your own customization. When it was shipped to me it came nicely wrapped and it was delivered safe and sound. The desk size has enough space to be a small desk or a sofa table and the drawers are surprisingly deep. The assembly of the desk was extremely simple and quick.I would definitely buy this brand again.

This is my third product from International Concepts. Each of them, including this sofa table are built like tanks, good joinery, quality construction. Far and above anything from the big box furniture stores from Sweden. 100% real wood, built in expansion cuts on the underside to help prevent cupping/;warping, good tight fit at all joints. Wood is soft, takes paint great. I haven't stained any just painted and like any bare wood project there is prep work (sanding) but this company makes nice products. For me the best indicator of that is the drawers. On one on the table the drawers don't lap but rather fit into and the gap around the frame and drawer front is perfect all the way around. They only get 4 stars because each piece I bought had missing hardware. For me not too big of a problem as I have an extensive amount on hand. But most people don't and missing hardware or the crappy Allen wrench can prove to be very frustrating. So they probably need to do some work at improving their pack stations to ensure all hardware is included.

Despite being labeled a sofa table I was searching for a desk. I had just about given up when I came across International Concepts Java Sofa Table with 2 Drawers, Unfinished. It was packaged so the table was not damaged and took only a couple minutes to set the table up. Everything was assembled except for the legs when a beyond sturdy. YES, the table is 100% real wood and 1,000,000% gorgeous. Best furniture and the price is sooooo right. The International Concepts Unfinished Vanity Bench, Unfinished is the perfect choice/height for a desk chair and hides completely under the table. Thank you International Concepts. Your furniture is the best. Buy with complete confidence.

It took me 1 night after work)Quality build... yes (this piece is solid with no wobble)Affordable... yes (it's actually a steal at $150)This piece woud easily sell for over $250 at a brick and mortar store. I love it. I use it in the bedroom as a TV stand. BUT... this piece could also be used as a writing/laptop desk, a sofa table, an entry table. Considering the quality build and the price...It's one of the better products that Amazon sells.

This is made from rubber wood, which is extremely dense and strong, similar to ash and maple. There is no particle board or MDF at all; the drawer bottom panels are thin plywood, everything else is solid hardwood. The top is made from short random lengths of wood about 2" wide and 6" to 15" in length, which has been finger-jointed together end to end, resulting in a very interesting grain pattern. Comes well sanded, I would guess to about 320 grit. Stains well and finished beautifully. A steal at $140.

This console table (I’m using it as a small desk) is beyond my expectations. First, all I had to do for assembly was attach the legs. Second the quality of the wood as well as the construction are very nice. The only trouble I had was deciding how to finish it. Before getting it in my plan was to paint the skirt/drawers/legs in an ivory then stain the top in a thick layer of Kona. I started with staining the top then fell in love with the look so ultimately decided to stain the entire thing. I’m so glad I did. It’s amazingly beautiful. I still need to add either a wax or polyurethane and it’s ready to go.
