Worked great after my original FOB broke. Saved me a lot of money

I had managed to break my 2016 CX-5 OEM key FOB trying to change the battery. I bought this case and the OEM inards fit perfectly. The new FOB works great. A very good value.

Easy installation. Perfect fit.

Overall nice case. It fit together well and took the OEM fob electronics perfectly. I docked it one star because the end cap the key mounts too is different. Instead of paying a locksmith to cut a new key piece I tried to swap over my existing OEM key. It won’t fit. The new piece has ridges on it where the OEM is flat. I was able to modify and grind it down to fit (again, not spending money to get a “specialty key cut” done again). You’d think with everything else matching the OEM fob perfectly, why not this little piece?

I stepped on both my key fobs, they were barely working, most of the time it didn't because the casing fell apart.I bought these for my 2016 Mazda3. I took the mother board out of the old one and put it into the new fob. I used my original key, it also fit the fob, no need to get the provided key cut, my old one work fine. To me about 5 minutes to easily install. The hardest part is getting the casing open without using a butter knife or something.The new fob looks just like the original mazda fob without the mazda logo.

I have to squeeze the key fob really hard to help the battery make a connection. It's pretty annoying, but the fob works.

Bought to replace my $200 fob from dealership. DIY...easy to do. Use your old key instead of the one from kit.
