UGLY STIK....just buy it! They have been the best rod since I was young enough to remember Slaming the rod in the truck door and dad saying, "don't worry it's an UGLY STIK kid"!!! Enough said

I've owned it for about a year now and rod is still going! Never broke, I've watched some good size fish! Overall Great product

It's a great rod with a great feel to it. The only negative I can say about it is that it is a 2 piece rod and twice it flew apart on me. once while casting and once while trying to pull the line out of a snag. The line broke and the rod came apart and went into the river...gone! If you get this rod keep an eye on the upper piece.

I have always used Ugly Sticks in the past and when I had trouble with one I needed to replace it. You cannot go wrong with this six-foot 2-piece rod. It is versatile, strong, and easy to use. Medium duty goes great for lake or salt water fishing.

Not too big of a deal but In the photos and description you can see they have advertised the Shakespeare ugly stik gx2 3 piece. What I received was a 2 piece Gx2. No shakespeare anywhere. I am a newer angler, so I don’t really know the difference between the regular Gx2 vs the rods that says Shakespeare on it but it was kind of a selling point for me tbh. I was a bit bummed after waiting due to late delivery to see it wasn’t what I expected to receive but I’m probably going to keep it because I waited so long but as the title says.. kind of disappointed. Don’t get be wrong, the rod is freaking nice.

I like the feel of the Ugly Stick when there’s a fish on the line!!
