Great water finally
We moved to a town where the water smells of chlorine and lots of calcium buildup on dishwasher, faucets, etc. We tried a stand alone filter pitcher for drinking water but it was just a hassle. So I bought this and installed it myself in a couple hours. The instructions were fairly clear and any error I made was my own fault. I cut one of the tubes too short, so I had to go out and buy matching tubing from Lowes. If you do that, be careful to look for the correct PSI rating on the tubing. Err on the high side. There are no instructions for pulling out tubing from the fittings. There is a little collar on the fitting that you have to push in on while your pulling out the tubing. Once you get the hang of it, it's not hard to pull it out. I had to do it a few times. I didn't have a single leak except, once again, for my error - I didn't tighten the connection on the top of the tank properly - one of the few connections that isn't "push to connect". Don't overtighten it, but I didn't even have it snug. Apart from that, no leaks at all. It's only been a week though. Connecting the tubing goes best if you wet the end of the tubing or use the grease they provide. You'll get the feel for a fitting that is fully inserted. Water tastes great and no smell at all. Very pleased. UPDATE 9-10-24 (unit installed 4/2023) - I replaced all the cartridges yesterday for the first time. Followed the online instructions and had no problem. We've been using it 1 1/2 years - no leaks and no issues.

Not sturdy
Product came fast, opened up and every piece has a big sticker made in china. Kept going and started install. Took about 2 hrs as there isn't much room under my sink to work. Was easy to install after realizing how it worked. Even the plumbers tape was good and those connections did not leak. Once installed. Spent the 2 hrs sanitizing and filling it with no issues. Then spent the 24hrs watching water run down the drain to flush the tank and filters as directed. Went to bed woke up and water was squirting from the 3rd filter. Emptied tank and pulled them off and looks fine so placed back on and same thing. The filters do not connect tightly. They can wiggle back and forth and leak. Called customer service 3 times and held for 30 minutes with no answer. Product returned.

I am pleased with this purchase
My experience with this system validates many of the other reviews already written. The installation is not the easiest and one must pay close attention. The parts are not labeled as well as I think they could be but with attention to detail and some reasonable deduction it is totally doable. I don't have superb handyman-type skills and I feel I got a little bit lucky but regardless I got it installed properly the first time with minimal swearing! I thought the 24 hours flush after install was a bit excessive so I called it around hour 18. I realized the manufacturer was right with the first taste - the mineralizer was way too strong for my taste. But, after completing the recommended flush time it tastes fantastic! If I could recommend one thing to improve upon the product I would hope they find a way to keep the refilling of the tank a bit more continuous. It refills only after it has been drained enough that the output is quite slow Then again, it may depend on your water pressure. Mine is not bad at all but I don't know how it stacks up in the grand scheme of things. Bottom line - I feel like this is a great value compared to other systems I shopped and I am very satisfied with the quality of my water. I don't even taste a hint of chlorine anymore and feel much better knowing it is filtering out nearly everything that isn't H2O. Any gripe I might have about the system isn't enough to push me elsewhere. I'm not an expert on plumbing, water treatment or anything related but I doubt I could do any better for the money.

Manifold stars leaking after a couple months. Problem Resolved
I rated this first as one star. The product worked great for three months , then the manifold started to leak. The leak comes from a hole on the back of the manifold close to the handle. The water will slowly be flowing on your countertop. But now I have change my rate to four, after I found the root cause of the problem. After fixing it the unit has been working really great and the quality of the water is very good. The leaking problem I had happens when the drain line leading from the faucet to the drain is obstructed. In my case the obstruction was created by debris coming out of the garbage disposal. To defintively resolve the problem I have to connect the drain line far way from the garbage disposal. The issue of some water coming through the air gap faucet hole is called an “air gap leak”. Search for this to find ideas on how to fix it.
