OK game, lots of problems, but you'll have to pay more for a good one
Hate:1. Not buying expansion packs (x2 at 20GBP each!), equals no real progress to the better guns/armour. There's another at 40GBP on the way too!2. Getting caught up on 4 inches of rock for 5 minutes, as the terrain is often frustrating. DO NOT EXPLORE TOO MUCH.3. Loads of 'junk' trinkets in your inventory you can't use unless you get the paid for expansion packs.4. Crashes a lot, especially towards the end of your goal/mission.5. You have to play Person Vs Person (PvP) in order to achieve half the goals, which is terrible.6. No story line whatsoever, it's just farming kills.7. PlayStation players get exclusive weapons, armour, etc.Love:1. The diversity of weapons and armour.2. Other online players are generally cool, helpful and fair3. The sheer size of the game, although most of it is not playable.I would say that overall this is a pretty poor attempt at a MMO because the frustration level is so high. Too many times have I just got to the end of my goal and it goes offline. Some days you cannot play it at all because they have to maintain the servers (usually on my day off!) The really cool stuff seems to be only available for the elite gamer, and not the casual gamer at all. To make things worse the PvP sections don't take this into account sometimes and you have no chance. Their main concern should be actually fixing what they have made already, and not churning out expansion packs. But that's the nature of programmers, who only really like nice new shiney things - broken or not.

If you were expecting another game of Halo quality, It is not even close.
Video games have been a huge part of my life for the last 8-10 years and it all started with Bungie and Halo. It would be difficult for any game to live up to both the hype and expectation preceding the release of Destiny and as much as I wanted to love it, unfortunately it falls some way short of the mark. The FPS aspects as you would expect are mostly spot on, but the game really has no soul. If there is a story there then I cant really see it. The voice acting is awful, especially the friendly AI, the enemies have no personality and there is no emotional connection whatsoever. It is pretty cold and disjointed. The actual gameplay falls between a number of stools as it tries to hook in as many genres as it can and does none of them well enough.Shooter? - repetitive, poorly drawn bullet sponge enemies, usual Bungie trick of re-using the same scenes and combat arenas over and over again.Looting? - Sort of, but very little of itRPG? - Sort of, lots of upgrades, but nothing explained in game and you have to research it to be able to know what to do/RAIDING? - OK if you like that sort of thing it will give some extra value but the RAIDs are really boring.Multiplayer? - Not bad, but unforgivably only one game type (Domination) unlocked at the start and then only after a few single player missions are complete.I was going to say it wasn't a bad game, just not that good but honestly I think it actually is a bad game. There are also a number of small but immensely irritating game mechanics which I just do not understand. The first one is you have to keep a button pressed for several seconds to do many things. The screen pops up with "Press X" and you do and nothing happens because you just keep forgetting. Next the fast travel system is ridiculous, with the "orbit" spaceship just hovering for up to a minute at a time while transitioning between locations.

Not my expectations
"Did Destiny meet your expectations?" asks Amazon. That's a tricky one. Destiny's problems are well chronicled by the internet. The Crucible (multiplayer) is impenetrable to casual players, the story is appalling, but the gameplay is charming and it is a beautiful game. If you're a gamer this review won't help you, Destiny is by no means a 'bad' game but it is a crushing disappointment to my expectations, but if you're a parent looking to stock up the Christmas stocking I'm not sure if I can really recommend Destiny. It's an expensive game and it will only get more expensive with each (paid piece) of DLC, without which your kid will feel locked out of much of the game. Although depending on skill level the kid will be locked out anyway. But I can also imagine kids spending hours of time in this game, it's compelling.

Could of been a brilliant game
Very massive hyped game which dissapointed in every way, I thought this was going to be the mature version of borderlands which is a great game btw. But I was met with overwhelming dissapointment as the level cap was 20 and the main story can be finished within a few mere hours I expected a lot more from this game seeming there are games like this that last alot longer. After you complete the story you find yourself running around doing the same mission for nothing hardly any loot hardly any gear and when you do get exotic gear it doesn't seem to change anything at all.I would stay clear of this game as I was fooled by this game thinking it would be what it claimed to be but no was terrible after you realise what your doing is pointless and you get nowhere.I gave it three stars because the idea is good and the settings are good they just need to make this the game they claimed it would be.

Destiny (Xbox One)
I you love first person shooters you will love this bit of halo bit of cod bit of mass effect all rolled into one Just awesomeonly drawback is you need a persistent internet connection to play it this HAS caused me issues as I live out in the sticksrelatively speaking there is no hope of fibre where we live sadly =(as for the game play it can get a bit repetitive as with all shooters however it does reward with weapon upgrades etc.this gives you the opportunity to go back and attempt previously impossible missions and walk through them =)who knows how long the destiny servers will be running but unless they make a final offline play patch this game is on a time bomb when it will stop working forever sadly but good overall I have had over 100 hours gameplay so far so it is good value for money
