Works as Advertised! It’s Durable!
I use this switch opener for my Kailh key switches. It works great! The first opener I got was a 3D printed part from my friend who printed it out for me. That broke after a few opens. This opener is made from aluminium, and so far I’ve used it to open 35 switches with no wear in durability or performance. Because it’s made from metal, you don’t have to be cognizant of how hard you press those switches down to open them. I was not careful with the 3D plastic-printed part, which contributed to its early breakage. Why am I open ending 35 switches, with 25 more switches left to go? I’m lubing them as I am building my own keeb, the Iris Frequency (Rev. 7).As this is supposed to open Cherry MX switches, too, I tested the opener as I have some Cherry MX switches. This opener opens those switches, too! There were some complaints from other users that this opener didn’t work well or didn’t work well for non-Cherry or non-Kailh switches. I cannot comment on those switches, as I only have Cherry and Kailh switches. I can tell you this opener works great with Kailh and Cherry MX switches. The position and size of the latches for the Cherry and Kailh switches do differ, in case you’re wondering. Fun Fact: Even though it may say “Cherry MX or Cherry MX-compatible switches” for your particular keeb build does not mean that the Cherry and Kailh switches are built the same.I chose the red color opener so that it’s easier to find this little guy on the chaos that is my desk. The two halves of the openers (one side is Kailh and the other side is Cherry) are held together with a magnet. On top of that, it came with a lanyard. This means you’ll be able to use this switch for some time without worry of misplacing it or it breaking.

Good but not amazing
I used this product to individually open 94 Kang White switches. A relatively easy switch to open. Only a handful of switches popped open quickly. Most of them required a little care when opening. One side first, then the other. Or I was applying different levels of pressure to either side of the switch. It works but you need to get the hang of it first. However, I would buy it again.

Works well with most switches. Issues with Akko cherry switches
I found this switch opener works with most switches. It did not work well with Akko cherry style switches. I found it just created a 1 - 2mm gap between the top and bottom housings, then I had to pry them open.

Can work for outemus
I only tried this with outemus (linear and not a box shape). Just push from the center and the clips slide out. Don't push too hard or the clips on the switch can crack.I don't know if this opener is finicky or if my technique is bad, but it takes one to four tries to open with little to no scuffing.

Sturdy little switch opener
Works great! Took a bit of playing around to get it open the switches but it was easy to use afterwards.
