Sturdy. Installed in roof of shed. Vrnts the heat.

This works great for my chimney on my shop. I was a little paranoid that water might get thru some of the seams so I used a sealer on them. So far it's been great. I drilled holes thru it and riveted it to the lower piping for support from wind. It also had a rubber seal around the bottom that I'm hoping doesn't melt from the heat. Overall a great piece and would buy again.

We have a hot water tank that seems to have the gas blow out easily. We replaced a few parts on it before, but over the past 6 months or so, seems to easily blow out. Father in law mentioned the gas vent cap as a potential cause. We have the same gas vent cap on both of our water heaters, only have issues with this one, but this one is in the direct line of a lot of wind between our house and our neighbors.Installed this - fairly easy, and so far so good after that!

It does a great job of keeping water out of heater vent on roof. Be advised that you need a companion reducer since the heater vent is 5 inches.

Came bent but repairable.

The unit is galvanized, so should be weather resistant & durable. Easy to install, just slips right into 4" diameter exhaust vent pipe. I added adhesive caulk to joint for better sealing and retention. Downside: a bit expensive, but these days everything is much more expensive....sigh..

Product arrived and was missing the rubber seal which pretty much made it useless for me. Waiting to finish this project and now I have to return it.Update: Not only was the second one that was sent to me bent severely but it again did not have a seal making it worthless. Returning the product for a full refund and definitely not going with this brand again
