Fjallraven Kanken Bottle Pocket

First off, I'm a sucker for anything Fjallraven makes, and I especially love my Kanken. But I had been putting off getting a pair of bottle pockets for a long time, because they're kind of pricey for a small add-on. So I sat down and started planning to make my own, until half way through, I realized that I'm better off just buying these from Fjallraven. They're super solid, they fit the side pockets well, and they match my Kanken perfectly. I use them daily now, and it's really nice to be able to put my water bottles on the sides now instead of carrying the weight concentrated in the center. I didn't expect I would notice or care, but it's a nice, unexpected bonus.

As many others have said, this accesory helps optimize the inner space of the main compartment. Also, the drawstring helps keep the bottle secured (think a free sip 24 oz owala, an 18 oz yeti, or a smaller one, like an asobu). Definitely a great add on to make the best of your backpack.

I love Kanken but have always had an issue with not fitting a water bottle in the side so i finally caved and bought this for college. My water bottle does now fit but the closure is quite weird and i often just shove my water bottle in it and it can be hard to get out at times. Would also not fit every water bottle but it fits an owala easily.

This water bottle pouch has held up great with daily use on my elementary-age kid's backpack. It bought mostly because it could hold and secure a standard size water bottle AND it was the same color as her backpack. This is one of those things that might cost a bit more than other solutions but you'll save in the long run as you only have to buy it once.

Works perfectly with my Kånken and fits my 48oz Nalgene with no problem. Couldn’t ask for a better companion for my trusty backpack! I was lucky to get it on a deal, so I definitely got my money’s worth!

Easily holds my 40 oz owala free sip but I don’t think it would hold more than that. Made of the same durable material as the bags. Fits both my kanken backpack, kanken tote pack, and kanken mini tote pack. Can make the bag a little uneven in weight distribution with bigger bottles but I think it’s worth it.

I have a 13" laptop Kanken and this fits perfectly in the side pockets (you won't be able to really use those pockets with this in tho). My 32 oz wide mouth Hydro Flask fits perfectly and I can cinch the drawstring top to cover the bottle completely. The bottle will fit with a boot but it's hard to insert or remove. A 40 oz bottle also fits without fearing it would topple out. Your backpack will be lopsided with the weight so you'll need to plan how to pack it. I returned this one because of the color. The navy is super dark, like a slightly faded black. And as with the darker-colored Kankens with this material, the coating turns the creases white. So even brand new they can look used and worn. I ended up getting a yellow one that I liked better.

Love that it fits many different sizes of water bottles but often falls out when pulling out water bottle. Would be great if it had a way to secure it with the backpack so it doesn’t fall out.
