What do I think of the NEW taste of Creamy Root Beer??
I’m giving this 5 stars just so others can see the truth about the new taste, especially if they’ve read the previous “good” reviews. Unfortunately, the flavor is not what it used to be. For me, that might actually be a good thing, though. I was so addicted to this soda (Creamy Root Beer) I was thinking about entering rehab lol! But with the new formula, I’m no longer tempted. It’s just not the same. But that's not all, keep reading... The new flavor is honestly pretty gross. I can clearly taste the stevia now, and it has this weird black licorice taste to it. It also tastes like more soda and less root beer. It honestly reminds me of when Coca-Cola changed their formula, and it ruined the drink for a lot of people. I will not buy this soda again.... Very IMPORTANT- after coming here to read the reviews to see what the heck changed with this soda, I now know why my STOMACH has been bothering me recently. Due to stomach comfort from Stevia. Who knew it was bad for your GI tract.. I am definitely not buying this again.

Sensitivity to natural sweeteners? You might want to be close to a bathroom when drinking this
I have ordered this a few times now, and the more that I drink it, the more that I really love it. Now, I do have a favorite root beer (Boylan Bottling Natural Root Beer Soda), however I don't always have $50 to get it. It is what it is, and I just got to make do. It was either a choice of this (Zevia) brand, or another cheaper alternative. It was the "creamy" part of the description that made me want to try this one. Now, when I got them, I did try one next day (after putting some in the fridge). It was surprizingly, really, really good! And, there most definitely was no aftertaste. It was super "creamy", and very delicious! Kind of related (sorry for TMI), but I do (or, did) suffer chronic constipation. My doctor had me not take any more OTC laxatives as they were making my situation far more worse (as in, they just weren't working). So, a few years ago, he started prescribing me Sorbitol (this is a sickeningly overtly-sweet sweetener/ laxative). This stuff tasted so nasty, and I had the hardest time downing a dose. Enter in, Zevia... I was not at all, expecting any (medicinal) results from drinking Zevia. It tasted relatively good, so I was happy. But, within just half a can of consumption, I found myself running to the bathroom. Like every single day, half a can, and I just had to go immediately! So, I decided to look up "stevia", as I had never had that, and found out that it is in fact a natural sweetener. So, if you have a sensitivity to natural sweeteners as apparently like I do, you may want to counter in that fact, before you buy it. Now, I am usually at home (at any given time) regardless, so I prefer to still drink this (almost daily) for how it helps to correct my chronic problem, as I seem to no longer suffer it now while drinking Zevia. Sorbitol, is not recommended to take every day, only as needed. So, with drinking just a half can of Zevia, and I'm going that same day, well I can honestly say that I have not been constipated for months. Now, I recommend drinking this straight from the can, I drink half and then put plastic wrap over the top and will drink this next day. I say this, about drinking from the can directly, because the color of it is very off-putting, I mean if you are used to drinking (normal) root beer. When you pour Zevia into a cup/ or, glass, it is crystal clear. And, I feel like I'm not drinking root beer, which then (kind of) mars the taste for me. If you suffer chronic constipation, I'd recommend giving this a go, as it tastes a million times better than just straight up Sorbitol. All in all, I'm really glad I tried this, as it is now a permanent staple in my diet.

Zevia Betrayed Me
I've been buying and drinking Zevia for around 10 years. They changed their recipe and packaging recently, and the soda is not only nearly flavorless but flat. This used to be my favorite soda. It's expensive, but I was willing to splurge on it every once in awhile. There's almost no scent to these anymore, and the flavor tastes like watered-down cola instead of root beer. Hands down, this used to be the best-tasting diet soda I've ever tried. I also loved the fact it had no caffeine in the creamy root beer flavor. Stevia never hurt my stomach or made me feel weird like aspartame does. I feel lost now. I live in a small town and cleared out all the cream soda and root beer Zevias I could find that were in the old packaging. Carbonation is supposed to be terrible for everyone's health, so it's probably a good thing I stopped drinking these. Carbonated drinks are not only acidic but leech calcium from your bones. I'm boycotting my first love and so should you.

Good recipe, don’t change it
The kids would like root beer occasionally and when we break down to give them a treat this one is on the top of the list. I try not to give them a lot of things with weird food coloring or additives that could hurt the kidneys and this fits the ticket. This tastes better than most root beer without the weird colors or ingredients of other root beer. No caffeine, no sugar, doesn’t make your tummy sore. However Amazon packed this and a bunch of heavy stuff in one box. It was difficult for me to lift the box, and I have no problem lifting heavy things, so I think it could have made it really difficult for our delivery person. I could see how it could have hurt them, so I knocked one star off the review for that.

creamy and delicious taste
Out of all the zevia flavors I’ve tried this is one I can get my family to drink. It still has a bit of an aftertaste, but it has a great cream soda taste so it’s not as noticeable. I think it creamy and delicious.
