I ordered the Streamlight TLR-7 Sub 500-Lumen and was pleasantly surprised when they sent me the upgraded TLR-7 Sub X model at no extra cost. This newer version offers the same great features but can also run on rechargeable batteries, which adds a lot of value.What I Liked:Powerful and Compact: The 500-lumen light is incredibly bright for its size, making it perfect for compact setups without sacrificing performance. This fit a 43x mos perfectly and the battery run time is solid. The light is definitely bright enough to safely illuminate the necessary area. It seems to be ruggedly built and is a good value for the money. The switch functionality is easy to use and readily available against the guard.

I ordered this light for my Glock 43x MOS and it fit perfectly. Light is super bright and functions as it should. Install took about three minutes.

Very bright, battery has lasted months in daily carry. Does get hot but nothing crazy... you'll just know if it's on in your pants.

This little weapon light is excellent for its size and price point. Aesthetically it is handsome on many carry gun models and works very well. Durability is excellent, but battery life is somewhat low, as lumens diminish rapidly once the battery begins to drain past 50% life. Expect to get only 30 minutes of continuous run time at the full 500 lumens. This is not a huge point of contention though, as for its roll it will not be used terribly often outside of range training. Keep a fresh battery in it every month if you train with it much or replace the battery every 2-3 months if you are only carrying it to ensure it stays topped off and ready for "duty".The focus of the beam is very good for a small light such as this, and is usable to clearly identify what is in front of you out to about 35 or 40 yards. Cast/spill of the light is also good, providing enough illumination to be able to see about 20 degrees off center-line with your periphery vision.I believe that this has higher value for the price-point than the competing Surefire model, although you do give up some things to the Surefire. Overall, highly recommended for its purpose.
