Worked Perfectly!
I love my vintage Gaelic Red Sox shirt but barely wore it because of the color. I decided to grab some of the Rit Color Remover and a bottle of Rit Kelly Green dye and see what I could do, with fingers crossed. The removal process was easy. I filled up a stock pot with 3 gallons of water, added two boxes for assurance and heated on the stove to just over 200 degrees. I soaked and wrung out the shirt, added and stirred constantly for just over 20 minutes and the color went from dark green to a grayish blue. I then rinsed it in warm to cold water and put through a wash of warm water and detergent. The shirt came out a pale army green. I then followed with the dye and fixative process. As you can tell by the picture, it was a success. I am very happy with how incredibly well the color remover works and highly recommend it.

STOVE TOP METHOD ONLY
ONLY WORKS WITH STOVE TOP METHOD!!!! I stupidly put a red tie dye sock in with my mixed laundry and everything turned pink. Tried the washing machine method and did nothing. Then I did the stove top method and within 3 min everything was white again. Good stuff. Highly toxic and smells terrible. Do it outside.

3pk handy during CoVid; but doesn’t work on rayon.
Didn’t really want to order 3 of these, but it turned out I was glad I had the extra ones, with most of the stores being closed, I couldn’t just run to Joannes and grab one! I dyed a white denim jacket (pink) to match my jeans & it came out way too bright. My jeans were a softer shade of pink with a touch of purple in them; very pretty, but the jacket was too pink & I needed to Re dye it. I planned on playing w colors to get the perfect hue first before I dyed it, but I was at my sons house (he has a bigger sink) and forgot to bring the blue to get the perfect shade I needed. I went ahead and tried it anyway, but i didn’t like it. This color remover worked great on the jacket; took out all the color within the first minute!! Later on, while changing my closet over from winter to to summer, I washed some summer tops and one of them got some color on a favorite white top! I washed the white top again right away, then again w bleach, and a third time w OXYCLEAN, and no luck! Then I remembered I had these extra boxes of color remover, so I tried it in a large pot of hot water on the stove; nothing happened. I used the third box in a minimal amount of hot water in a large pan on the stove and again nothing! My top is ruined! The only thing I can do now to save it is dye it that soft pinkish purple to match my jeans! Lesson learned; BUY the matching jacket and WASH WHITES SEPARATELY! Lol Oh yes, use gloves when using this product; as it leaves a sticky residue on your hands that’s hard to get off~~must wash repeatedly! There’s also a chemical smell to it too~~couldn’t put my finger on it but it reminded me of something you’d smell in a hair salon. Sad that it didn’t work on my white top~like a flowy vest w lacy cap sleeves that I wear several times during the summer; 95% rayon I believe.

Worked with Polyester
This successfully works for a white dress that was 100% polyester and got some red transfer on it in the wash. It also didn’t lift the color from the gold stars that were embroidered on it.

Well pink is pretty lol
Just like so many of you, something red snuck it's way into a load of whites and ruined my day! I was washing white towels and sheets and they were turned a lovely shade of pink, lol. I rewashed with an insane amount of white distilled vinegar, I rewashed with damn near a full bottle of shout stain remover, neither worked so I bought 1package of this from walmart, which is all they had. I didnt read the directions and just dumped it in with my laundry before filling my washer with water or anything, wow go me! It didnt work at all! So I than read the directions, ordered the 3 pack off of here and although it said stovetop was most effective, I don't have a witch cauldron, and I didnt want to do 1 towel at a time so I used my washer. I followed the directions to a T for a topload washer, and used all 3 packages. So it did lighten the pink but unfortunately it didn't do much. So after this I'm feeling pretty desperate, and dumped an entire bottle of bleach in with the load and added water and let them soak for a few hours and finally I opened my washer to see everything back to white! Well all except 1 pesky still light pink pillow case!

Removed Pink Dye from Cardigan
This stuff is amazing! I washed my go to off white/greyish cardigan and it came out of the wash with pink on it. I tried other methods (baking soda and white vinegar) and it only lightened the pink color. Rit completely removed the pink from the cardigan. I used the stove top method as that is what was recommended when I did some research on the product. I wish I took a before and after. This stuff really works. Highly recommend.

Works the majority of the time.
Works nicely for getting the color out of most clothes but only with the boiling pot/stove method, does not work in the laundry/washer!!! And it does not work as good on black clothing.
