This works soo well! I wasn't expecting it to work as well as it does to be honest. I got this for my daughter and it melts perler beads so evenly and so well. Haven't noticed any weird noises or smells coming from it. It heats quickly and cools quickly. My daughter is an adult, so obviously if you have a child needing this for perler beads, be mindful that it does get hot and you will need to be present and helping. Its not a minimal heat, super slow melting type of gadget.

Honestly was trying to decide if this was a two or three star. Had to go with 2. On a true scale I’d rate this item between a 2-2.5. Pros: it’s small lending itself well for small or tight work spaces (caveat in the cons). It heats up rather quickly (caveat in the cons). The controls are intuitive allowing for ease of use. Cons: it’s too small. This is not a small iron it’s a mini iron. It’s probably a sixth the size of a normal iron. Kind so small it shoots past comic straight to ridiculous. Now the size could be mitigated if it wasn’t for the heat factor. This iron does not get hot. It gets warm. My hot water comes out hotter than this iron gets. The purpose behind the purchase was for hobby sewing crafts. Many times a fold needs to be creased with an iron to help with the creation of a seam. This irons ability to create enough working heat does not allow for that. The cord is also short. It could be a foot or two longer. I could see this being more as a gag gift instead than a useable iron. It will probably be able to handle minor wrinkles but will not be sufficient for stubborn ones. Get it don’t get it. It’s up to you. Maybe I received a bad one. Who knows? Maybe you’ll be lucky and get one that gets more hot than what mine does. With all said I cannot recommend this for purchase. I understand this would not get as hot as a normal iron however it could have been better than it was.

This mini iron is really tiny — I am an average-sized adult and it is about the size of my palm (fingers not included!). It has an LED indicator when it's turned on or off and a switch on it's cable. It can stand upright between ironings, but one has to take the cable position in mind to do it. The ironing surface is smooth and can get pretty hot — just give it some five minutes to heat up. The iron itself does not have any water container, so if you need to iron the cloth I'd suggest having a spray bottle separately. It is also very lightweight, so if you need to press down the seams, use your own weight or additional heavyweight blocks to press the hot cloth right after ironing it. Could work for tiny crafts or for tiny crafting surfaces where one cannot put a regular sized iron / ironing station nearby.

This iron is handy as far as using for really small pieces of fabric when sewing, but doesn't heat up very hot. I was not able to use for interfacing or on thicker fabrics due to the low heat output and the cord tends to get in my way a bit. I do enjoy it for the smaller things as it is easier to avoid burning my fingers.

Perfect for my sewing and quilting projects. It heats up very fast and cools down quickly. I was worried it might be cheap plastic, but it’s surprisingly durable- nice quality.

this iron is superrr mini but superrrr powerful. i bought this with the intention to use it when sewing to create even edges and it does an amazing job! i love the size as it’s easy to use and store! super lightweight and a great color!

This little iron works well it heats up quick and gets pretty hot . It's very small it's by no means good to use as an iron to iron any kind of clothing it's more of a craft iron for ironing on decals or in my case I use it for decoupage . However, I gave it only 3 stars because the plug/ cord is on the side of the iron ( left side ) so if you are right handed as I am the cord is constantly in the way making it hard to use , it's doable but extremely annoying. They should have put the plug coming out of the back of the iron it would have made more sense .
