It is riveted and doesn't appear to be removable.

Do y'all have a recommendation for a good saltwater rod to use with this? medium to mh action. i mostly fish inshore gulf (redfish, flounder, spots)

Check out “Falcon rods” I have 3 of their coastal model. Highly recommended.

Where do u recommend to use this ?

I Would Stick to Using This Model In Any Fresh Water Fishing. Being That It's Not Sealed For Salt Water. Not Saying It Can't Be Used In Salt Water Fishing, But I Would Definitely Rinse If Used In Salt Water. If Fishing Salt Water, I Would Recommend The Daiwa Fuego Model. It Is Sealed Better! I Like My Legalis (s), I Have 5 In Different Sizes, And Would Recommend.
