I love my Ramelson carving tools. Normally I would not buy a set due to the fact that I may not use all of them. In this case I researched this set before my purchase and decided to buy them all. I am not disappointed. I have used all of them. They came sharp and ready to use. Ramelson makes a fine set of carving tools at a reasonable price. A few minutes of touch up on every so often and back to carving with a sharp edge. I am not disappointed. I will be expanding my collection of tools soon and will once again look to Ramelson first.

Came quite sharp, but needed a brief strop. Once stopped these micro carving chisels are awesome. You have amazing control on both upward push or downward pull, blades cut through the timber nice and easy, really enjoyable to use. Having never stopped anything so small, it took a few adjustments to find a good feeling for each blades cutting angles. The carbon steel blade is easy to sharpen, but also has longevity before needing to be stopped again, it's hard!

I was a bit surprised that they were a small as they are but that was my fault for not reading all the info carefully. They seem to be great to use and comfortable in my hand. Great for fine work

I use these for linoleum stamp carving. I bought two different sets of these, the miniature and another little larger set. They work very well and feel nice in my hand. Only one tool seems to need a little sharpening. The rest carve very nicely and I love them. I bought a leather UJ Ramelson roll up pouch to store them in as well, and it is very nice. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase these for linoleum. I haven't used them on wood, so don't know how long they stay sharp on that material, but so far so good on linoleum.
