I have a hyper-fixation with temperature. We replaced our HVAC unit a little bit over a year ago and since then I’m constantly wondering what’s the temperature in the different areas of the house. I purchased a temp gun but it was not enough— I needed to see the numbers real live, quickly. I first ordered the black model (pic 3) and placed it in the kitchen about 5 months ago, but because our house is so big, I decided to order a couple of more. One for the kids passageway (pic 1) and one for our room (pic 2). These I just installed and they are pretty accurate for 20min in service. Last pic is our thermostat, set at 72. I’m overall happy with these gadgets; they definitely meet the mark and keep my hyper fixation in check. Would recommend.

I just purchased the most up to date Nest thermostat and decided to compare these thermometers against the Nest (and against each other). So, I put these thermometers about 3 ft away from the Nest and left them alone for about 3 hrs. Temperature - the Nest was at 66 degrees. Number 1 thermometer at 64.4, Number 2 at 64.8. Humidity - the Nest was at 24%. Number 1 was at 31%, Number 2 at 26%. Since I'm not so interested in the humidity, these units are good enough for me. The unit is sturdy. The all time/24 hr button is wonderful for tracking purposes. Display is clear.

I bought the two-pack of supposedly identical devices. Right out of the box, I put in the supplied batteries, and after 15 minutes the two devices read different temperatures (75.6 and 74.8). I would expect them to be within a couple tenths of a degree at most. After 10 more minutes, they appear to be converging (74.7 and 75.4). I'll edit this if it improves more Edit: Upped to 4 stars. After some time the two devices converged on the temperature, so now I have more faith in these devices. The humidity was always within 1% of each other.
