Great gadget
Our KitchenAid blender broke down, my husband said let’s just get a new one. I said no, you can fix it. I said look on Amazon for what you need to fix it. He looked on Amazon and found this gadget. There were two “gears” (the little black thing) and the little wrench in the package. It took him no time to fix it and we saved quite a bit of money not having to buy a new blender.Thanks Amazon 🌷

Fits my KSB5WH3
The model numbers are a little confusing to research. My exact model number wasn't listed in the product details but was close so I took a shot. It fits my KitchenAid KSB5WH3. The wrench is a must and worked great. I just changed it so I can't vouch for how long it will last before the teeth start to break off.

Problem solved.
Tool sent to hold shaft still while removing the old and tightening new was too wide to fit between guides built into blender motor housing/ frame. Had to get a friend to grind down sides of tool. Luckily it did not weaken tool.

Coupler lost teeth on first use.
The first of the two couplers lost two teeth upon first use. (making a daquiri) Not impressed. On the other hand, the tool will come in quite handy.
