Best knife i've ever owned.
YUGE knife!! Sharp enough to shave with. Very impressive! High quality, and a beautiful piece. Didn't give 5 stars because of the sheath belt loops. Seems like, as heavy as the knife is, running with it strapped to your side will tear the belt loops. Not sure though, because it's new and I haven't tried running with it yet. The smaller knife is not as sharp as the large one, so I sharpened it. Now I don't have to carry a machete and a knife, because the two come together. The large knife will hack away brush better than any machete. I love the set.

when the world ends i will rebuild civilization with this!
for any movie predator fans this is the knife you're looking for. the picture is deceiving it does come semi polished. very tough spring steel the blade is heavy and long enough to allow its own weight to do the chopping without tiring you out. easy to sharpen and stay sharp only draw back is this steel rusts, but it takes a very long time for spring steel to be compromised by rust not like you ever worried about the spring steel under your car from collapsing from rustonly complaint was the large bulge in the middle of the handle. this bulge gives your small 2 fingers from getting a firm grip so i dremel out the metal, sanded down the wood bulge, and added a cherry stain, to form an even grip for my hands that gives me more comfort and controlas for the sheath its pitiful compared to the quality of the blade but it absorbs a lot of oil which is good cause it keeps the steel from drying out. the small knife that comes with it is an after thought; its too heavy for a "small knife" and i just use a cold steel folder to start fires or fine cuttinganyone complaining about getting these blade with rust spots be aware that these knives probably sit around in a warehouse for months before they get to you and this steel will produce rust spots simply from the moister in the air but they don't compromise the blade. use a Japanese rust eraser, fine grit sand paper or flitz metal polish to remove rust spots and keep the knife oiled!over all this blade is my go too machete/heavy Bowie knife for survival; and does anyone know why is there a deep cut into the steel where the handle and blade meet at the top??

Not great quality.
The media could not be loaded. 1st i noticed no makers marks or mill grade marks at all on either knife. 2nd the edges are inconsistent and not sharp. 3rd the Finnish isn't a finish at all the blades are not flat rather warped and the finish is a rough all over the place texture i assume to hide how warped the metal is. Its a heavy blade that i doubt will keep an edge. I was looking for a good mix of machete and corn blade. Not sure this is worth the weight. Considering sending back.
