Great attempt, but a complete failure
The base of the launch tower is composed of a bottom plate comprised of many plates, the the side walls are put on; then the top of the base is covered by plates (8x8, 6x 8, 8 x 16). The later plates would not stay snapped on the underlying extremely sparse supports. Consequently, the larger plates popped off and would not stay on regardless of additional support---more sub posts and glue. When manipulating the semi-completed base, it came apart into several pieces. I would also like to know why the return amount is $147.80 when the original cost before shipping and tax was$278.88?? Thanks---PS first time this has happened to me by one of your suppliers. John

Decent Set
Pros:This is a nice sized set with plenty of details and parts. Looks amazing when you get it all done and together.Cons:Fit and finish of the parts are not perfect. Some have to be forced together to stay in place. A few were bent and I had to heat them up with a heat gun to straighten them.Overall it holds itself up as long as you don't move it around. It's major weak point in the tower is where the tower goes from angled to straight. And the gantry where the astronauts loaded into the capsule can't support itself and needed some fishing line. And only one piece missing from mine, but it was cosmetic and not structural.

Very Poor Product in All Regards
The engineering is very poor-the base structure lacks bracing and is very flimsy. The tower structures are likewise difficult to complete unless you are gluing it all together as you build. Some steps are out of sequence, requiring disassembly and detail work prior to proceeding. Worst of all THE KITS ARE INCOMPLETE! Some key parts are missing which requires ordering more-there is no mechanism for replacing missing parts. There is a substantial shipping fee to obtain parts and of course serious delays. I have spent nearly $80 getting parts.

Great Looking Model
Like the looks but this model is not for the faint of heart. The gray decking on the launch pad was hard to get right. I added additional LEGOs to make it more sturdy. Many pieces so be prepared to sort. I got what I was expecting (knock off LEGOs) but I would buy it again though.Mine came with a paper manual.?.
