Meccano-Erector - Micronoid - Red Socket, Programmable Robot Building Kit

Took about 2 hours to assemble for my 7 year old boy and 10 year old girl. Had to help in the beginning for around 30 minutes. Once they got he hang of it they didn't want me around to help. The white one was a bit harder then the green one. It was good for the kids to learn how to tighten bolts and follow directions. This is not a toy for kids that lack patience. If your kids are good at Lego instructions they should be okay at this. Just have to learn to use tools to assemble. Kids are loving the different functions. You make simple programs to make it do different things. We picked these up for during the lightning deals for around 19.99 and they are well worth it.

My 8 year old has been asking for a robot for two Christmas's and I'm so glad I found these. My sons 8 and 5 3/4 got these robots for Christmas this year and love them! They require some adult help on putting them together. My 8 year old put his "green switch" one together himself after getting help on the "red socket" one from my husband. I put the monkey looking one together with my five year old and there were some definite parts that little ones would need an adult for. The green one has taller legs so it seems to fall over more than the other two. They are having so much fun with these little robots!

This item is really awesome.... If you can get it together. I have no patience for things like this so my sister tried and she couldn't do it. I had my boyfriend put it together who did it in no time at all. If you're not good at putting things together, pass on this or get someone to do it for you. It's a shame it's so difficult to put together because it's really very neat.

My 9 year old loves this thing. He built it entirely by himself. It isn't extremely difficult to build. I would say any kid who can follow the instructions to build a Lego set can manage putting this together alone. He is really cute, too. Like a little mechanical Furby or something. Great gift for a kid! You can take him back apart and put him back together or modify the design to your liking for the day.

For the price you cannot beat this product! We bought these for our 7 year old and 5 year old. We were a little concerned that the age was 8+ but knew they would put together with their dad so got them anyways. It took several days of short sessions to put them together and they definitely needed the help of an adult to do so. But once they were together they are able to play with them on their own. These robots are very impressive in what they can do--the two of ours interact together and have several modes of independent play. They seem to be well-made. Both have been dropped and "fallen" off of the table and down a few steps too without so much as a scratch. I am very impressed!

Fun project. Robot is fun and interactive. Not difficult to build, but some tiny screws go in semi-hard to reach spaces. My kiddo is 7, so adult had tp help. I bet a 9/10+ yr old could build solo.

My 9 year old son loves this! Got it for Christmas. Took him some time to build, it's definitely not possible for a child to do alone. My husband had to help him a lot, and my kiddo can build Legos and most things without help... this was just pretty complex. He had a blast doing it though! Sings and dances and even farts.... you know a 9 year old boy is in heaven!

This was a birthday gift for my son's 9th birthday & it was a big hit. Has even taken it to a friend's who also has one & they interacted which was a plus. My son built his by himself & was able to do it with minimal help from an adult (he didn't want our help). His friend, had his dads help and they customized it since there were some extra parts. Would recommend this and even thinking about getting one of the other models.

Der Kleine ist super zusammenzubauen. Diese Bauanweisung ist um Welten besser als Lego etc. Echt selbsterklärend und frustfrei. Auch für nicht lesende Kinder. Das Schrauben schaffen auch kleine Kinderhände (Mädchen, 5 Jahre). Alleine. Ja da fällt auch mal was runter, und es ist frickelig (zwei Teile, Schraube, Mutter, Schraubendreher.. aber wie sollen denn sonst 2 Teile fixiert werden?) aber das muß ja auch nicht in 30 Minutern fertig gebaut sein. Wenn man das stückweise über eine Woche verteilt stört das ja auch nicht Das Material ist nicht schlecht. Ich hatte erwartet das der Roboter hier im Dauereinsatz schlapp macht. Der wird schon mal beim Tanzen über den Haufen gerannt etc. Was kann man damit machen? 1 Orakelfunktion. Eine Frage stellen und auf Yes oder No warten. Da werden inzwischen dann halt 5x Fragen umformuliert "Bist Du dir sicher?" "Du machst doch Quatsch!" 2 Oder mit der Aufnahmefunktion eine Botschaft draufsprechen und den Roboter mit der Botschaft in die Küche schicken. 3 Stopptanz. Der Roboter hat eine Musiktaste. Wenn das Mikrofon keine Geräusch wahrnimmt spielt der Roboter von alleine Musik ab und bewegt sich dazu. Bei uns tanzen dann alle Kinder um/mit dem Roboter mit. Und hören schlagartig auf wenn die Musik verstummt. "Psst!" sonst tanzt Roberta ja nicht mehr. 4 der Roboter hat vorwärts, links und rechts Tasten. Je nach Untergrund kommt er bei vorwärts/links.. unterschiedlich weit. Das kann man messen. Mit diesen Grundeinheiten (zB 1x vorwärts = 10 cm im Wohnzimmer) kann man den Roboter vorher festgelegte Strecken laufen lassen. Der Roboter kann dann einen Parcour um Hindernisse laufen. Von Kind a am Sofa um die Ecke zu Kind b. Im Zickzack um Pylone. Der Roboter kann auch einen Gegenstand "wegräumen". Da kann man zB mit Klopapierrollen oä arbeiten. Diese muß Roberta genau zwischen ihre Beine bekommen und von a nach b schieben (Malerkreppband als Start Ziel markierung). Wenn sie hinten zwischen den Beinen eine Schieber (Karton drankleben) montiert hat, kann sie auch flachere Dinge bewegen. Insgesamt meiner Meinung nach ein prima Einstieg. Mehrfach drehen um Rückwärts hinzubekommen, die Richtung aus Sicht des Roboter bestimmen, die unterschiedlichen Reichweiten (je nach Bodenbelag) berücksichtigen... 5 Experimentieren Welche Steigung schafft Roberta? Kann Roberta was hinter sich herziehen? Bei uns bekam Roberta einen Rollwagen zum Hinterherziehen (für die Nüsse etc die sie in der Küche erbettelt hat). 6 Dekorieren Momentan hat Roberta so eine Art Superman Cape um, das flattert beim Laufen so schön. An kann was dranhängen. Draufkleben geht auch super. Wir haben schon etliche Roboter, darunter auch echt große, die technisch "mehr" können. Und auch entsprechend teurer waren. Dieser hier ist trotz allem einer der Beliebtesten. Das liegt meiner Meinung nach an der Vielseitigkeit, dem futuristischen, freundlichen Design und der Stabilität. Der Roboter wurde letztes Jahr zu Weihnachten gekauft und wird seither bespielt. Von uns eine klare Kaufempfehlung! PS: dieser Roboter ersetzt keine Eltern. Ein bisschen mitdenken, Anregungen geben, lenkende Fragen stellen müssen sie schon wenn das hier mehr sein soll als ein Spielzeug.

voici un super mecano/droid qui fera la joie de vos enfants!! pour l'assemblage un peu de patience et il est sur pied! un petit robot interactif avec lequel mon fils s'amuse bcp et rigole bien !il répond par oui ou par non a vos questions, il danse sur le son de votre musique .il a même un mode solo ou il fait se qu'il veut ils nous fait bien rire.je recommande vivement . nous l'avons offert à notre fils pour ses 9ans.

Se lo regalé a mi hijo de 8 años y fue un verdadero éxito. Teniendo en cuenta que le encantan los juegos de montaje y que le chifla todo lo electrónico o digital, este robot le iba que ni pintado. Lo montó con algo de ayuda, pero la diversión no fue sólo montarlo, como suele pasar con los legos o juguetes por el estilo. Después de montado ha dado mucho juego al moverse, grabar, "hablar"... en general muy satisfechos con la compra.
