Powell-Peralta Rat Bones 60mm 90A White Skateboard Wheels (Set of 4)

These are great for smooth sidewalks to average bumpy asphalt. I am 39 and using them on a board to ride to and from work from the train station. They are perfect for this. Much heavier and bigger than the average wheels today but you can roll over small things without worrying about getting thrown. Had PP-freestyle wheels like 25 years ago and these are just as high quality as they used to be. The 85s might be better for streets with more bumps, maybe will try those next time around. For now these are great!

I’ve been using longboard wheels on my cruiser for a couple of years, wanted to try something smaller and harder while learning to pump/skate pools. These fill the roll, and you can still do some cruising over rougher terrain. Great for slides if you are into that, I accidentally broke loose on some damp concrete turning at speed

I wanted to make a sort-of hybrid cruiser/trick board and thought these 60s looked like they would be good. Probably about the best wheel for that type of thing but they are a little bulkier than I had hoped. 60 is a great size for cruising and 90a is the perfect firmness, you cruise right over cracks in the sidewalk, little rocks, etc. My one complaint is they are a bit wider than I expected them to be. They are about 2x as wide as a standard 54mm. They stick out about a quarter inch on each side of my 7.75' deck. So they are a little heavy for my taste, maybe 58s wouldn't be so wide. They probably only took like 10% from my ollie though so whatever. If you want a good cruiser these wheels are awesome. I paired them with bones bearings and my board is a monster masher. Also would recommend a set of risers to prevent wheel bite if you are using a regular deck.
