It's about the peripheral speed
This 8" based machine does a great job in my sharpening business, RPM is lower than the 6" version but the 8" mops have virtually the same surface speed with the vibration and noise. Polishes and hones a treat with some polishing soap and a clean off mop.Good value purchase, pity it's supplied with miserly 1" mops.
