I really love using Kolinsky brushes on my DIY acrylic nails. I noticed that many techs use this bigger brush and it applies the product nicely close to the cuticle. This is why I decided to try this brush. I always used smaller brushes which take practice to apply it nicely at the cuticle. This larger brush does cut down on the time it takes me to apply the acrylic, but one thing I've found is that using it (following the instructions) wastes more acrylic product than the smaller brushes do. Maybe I just need more practice. The wasted product working with this brush is the only negative for me. If I get better at it and the waste reduces, I will change this review to 5 stars.If you buy this brush, I do not recommend capping it with the colorful cap it came with for storage. Only the tube. After capping it two times, some of the bristles broke and I had to cut them off. It would seem to me that storing it in the clear tube without the colorful cap would better preserve the bristles. I store my smaller brushes in the clear tubes they come in and have had no problems with broken bristles.With all of this said, I do recommend this nail brush.

Just spend the extra few dollars and buy pana, young nails, makartt ect. I figured since this was a little more expensive than the really cheap ones it would work well but despite its cute design, I don't think it's real kolinsky!
