I picked up the small Honey Badger and could not be more pleased with my purchase. Due to local laws, I must carry a knife with a blade length of 3" or less. At 2.81" the small version is perfect for me. I am a huge fan of forward finger choils since they give you more control while doing intricate cuts and they usually provide better ergonomics. I was worried that the small version would have a choil that was too small, but that is not the case. I wear XXL gloves and the choil is large enough to accommodate. My fingers are somewhat slender so I can't speak for those with thick fingers. The ergonomics of this knife are absolutely excellent. I wouldn't change a thing in this department. Ergonomics are very important to me and the Honey Badger is comparable to Spydercos, which is a great compliment since Spyderco knives are well known for their ergonomics. I was somewhat hesitant because the blade steel isn't considered high end, but the quality, features, and ergonomics really make up for it. I'm actually pleased with the steel since it's more than adequate for almost every task. It's easy to sharpen and it keeps the price low which makes you more willing actually use it(some people don't use their expensive knives as they are afraid of damaging them). It even comes with a deep carry clip so you don't have to bother looking for an aftermarket clip(which adds cost to your investment). If you're reading this trying decide if you should pull the trigger, I say go for it. If you choose the right size for your situation, you will not regret picking one up. I have included a photo for size comparison: Top = Spyderco Native 5 Lightweight (3" blade / 2.45 oz) Middle = Small Honey Badger (2.81" blade / 2.57 oz) Bottom = Spyderco Dragonfly 2 (2.25" blade / 1.20 oz)

I wanted a flipper with ball-bearing hinges on a budget to see if it was the right knife for me. From the packaging to the first flip I was not disappointed. This is a great knife, especially for the money. I was not sure I would like the feel of the honeycomb texture on the scales, but it's fine. I love that I can flip and thumb and spidey flick the blade. Great for the fidgeter. I really like the badger logo on the blade, scale, and pocket clip. Did I mention It has a really nice deep pocket clip? Mine did have a few sharp edges on the scale opposite the clip. I noticed when I put my hand in my pocket to get out my keys and the scale scratched the back of my hand. No worries, a few passes over the emery board, and the edges are gone. Mine is black FRN, size small with the 8Cr13Mov blade. I've got a Firebird to review next, but think a medium in green or tan with a D2 blade might be the perfect knife for me. Please note, if you select D2 blade material you lose the forward finger choil.

This is a good entry level EDC knife. It’s easy to open and easy to close. It feels good in the hand.

This was a great purchase. After wasting money on cheap knives purchased from department stores for the past few years, I decided to try this Honey Badger EDC knife. It is perfect for my needs. I wanted something low profile that wouldn't be uncomfortable for every day carry and something that held up. This knife fits the bill. It is small and the clip allows me to clip it inside my pocket and still have access to the pocket for other purposes. It is built like a tank. It seems very sturdy and has an extremely sharp blade. I would recommend this knife for anyone who wants a knife for EDC that is practical and comfortable.

Nice knife! I always carry a small knife for whatever comes up. This knife has a really nice one hand open mechanism. Smooth and FAST once done a few times. I really like the handle texture. It’s easy to hold onto, looks good and fits the hand well. It is also smooth in the pocket. One of the problems I’ve had with pocket folders with a clip is that many of them are uncomfortable to put your hand into your pocket to get something else. These are smooth and safe to push past in the pocket. A little pricey? Yeah. Worth it? Hell Yeah!
