How do you seal the cap?

It comes with cork lids you just put the cork in there and it seals it

what size label would you use for these bottles?

I use Avery 22809. They look good and fit perfectly. They are 3 x 2 1/4.

Are these bottles pre-washed?

I don't know but you always should wash before you use.

how to you use the seal? how do you tighten it onto the bottle?

It is a cork that pops right into the bottle with a tight fit. I used the bottles for homemade Limoncello. They worked great. Not sure if they can be layed on their side without leaking but I didn't do that. I had my own personal labels made. I have a facebook cooking demostration called Hot Momma's Cooking Clips. Hope that helps, they worked out wonderful for me.
