Amerelle C972T Wall Plate, Emergency Switch

Moved into the new house. Found an outlet with no real purpose, or at least none that I could find. So I put it in the off position. Then it came time to run the heat. Hmmm. Furnace was tested during the inspection and worked great. Now it doesn't Sure is getting cold. Then, eureka, I told the wife, that the outlet in the basement stair well must be for the furnace. Turned it on and voila, heat. So I thought, why don't I order one of them red colored outlet covers. It works, looks nice, and does what it does. Cover a switch and lets people know what it's for.

Very high value for the money. I installed at our furnace shut off switch to call attention to it vs a standard white wall plate. Even includes red screws to match.

Excellent switch cover. I used it in a 30amp pilot light switch as an emergency off switch for my two post car lift.

just what I ordered, inspector said i had to have an emergency shut off switch and after the inspection he changed his mind.

Item as described, does its job in highlighting the furnace emergency switch.

I’m sure this has actual industrial uses, but I added it to a light switch in my garage for decoration. It looks great, plus it makes people a little nervous to flip the switch (haha)!
