I use this for lighting almost everything from photo shoots to moody dinner table scenes in videos. It replaced my 48" parabola diffuser in most situations, due to it's much smaller size and much faster assembly. It takes half a minute to get it out of the case and onto a light, and another half a minute if you are using the skirt. I had a small issue with one of the flexible spines bending in the wrong direction when assembling it the first few times, but it has since corrected itself.
