Neogen Dermalogy Real Serum Collection - Niacinamide, Vitamin C, Retinol, Bakuchiol, Panthenol, Peptide to combat acne, pigmentation, wrinkles, dry skin, dullness - Korean Skin Care

I tried Neogens Hyaluronic acid serum and I really liked it, so much that I got this lovely box set too! I love that it has other commonly used serums like Bakuchiol (retinol alternative), Niacinamide, and Vitamin C! I love how the Bakuchiol specifically leaves my skin feeling so soft and nourished. The Niacinamide serum I use mostly on my nose area as it's supposed to help with pores and it has been working well though I never had much pores anyway, but it definitely helps keep them clear! Finally, the vitamin C I use nightly since otherwise you need to use sunscreen for protection after using vitamin C, but it's supposed to help dark spots/uneven tone so I use it on my cheeks mainly for small freckles/sun spots. Anyway, I also love the packaging for this gift set as it's sakura styled and the bottles even have tiny sakura details which adds a nice touch. I think Neogen is a wonderful brand and I am so happy with their products that I will definitely continue to buy their products. :)

I'm on my fourth bottle of the Vita C serum. I use it every night and my skin definitely looks brighter and the texture is improved. I like that it dries without any stickiness, since most other Vitamin C serums I've tried are very sticky. It does not sting or irritate my skin at all, and no unpleasant odor.

I’ve tried retinol serum once before as part of the Tree of Life Power Trio and initially I experienced my pores getting large and clogged with some hard-ish gunk. Figured it was my skin getting acclimated to retinol. Also didn’t experience any significant improvements in my skin after consistently using it for about 4.5 months so didn’t reorder. I have mainly oily skin with occasional dry patches.Decided to try bakuchiol after learning that it provides comparable benefits to retinol. Within the first couple of days of using this serum my pores got all enlarged and filled with the same looking gunk as it did with the retinol serum so it must be how my skin reacts. It’s not reacted this way with the first time trying Vit C, hyaluronic acid, or glycolic acid in the last year. I know bakuchiol and retinol have different chemical structures but it was somewhat interesting that my skin reacted the same to both.Anyways! I’ve been using this nightly for 4 weeks now and the clogged pores eventually resolved itself after the first week. It does have a mild fragrance to it that I think most would find pleasant? But I am sensitive to smells so it was somewhat off-putting to me at first but I’m used to it now. The fragrance also dissipates a lot once the serum dries. I have noticed some improvement in the overall smoothness/softness of my skin but no change in firmness or fine lines. So 3 stars for now.I know consistency and patience is key and I rely on reviews where there are updates so I will be doing the same after more time with this serum.UPDATE 1/19/24: The initial fragrance of this serum no longer bothers me. The main update is that my skin has felt softer since the initial review. My face actually hasn’t ever felt this soft before that I can remember. In terms of it visibly looking better, still no significant changes there but it’s likely too soon to expect this. If there were half stars I’d bump my original rating up from 3 stars to 3.5. Not rounding up to 4 right now only because 4 to me for this serum would indicate some visible improvements.FINAL UPDATE 4/1/25: I reordered this product from YesStyle for my refill since I was reading a lot of concerns about fake skincare products sold on Amazon. I think there's some legitimacy to that but for this particular product, I couldn't tell any differences in packaging nor product itself between the one I got on Amazon and the one from YesStyle. As for the update, I stuck with a consistent routine with this bakuchiol serum for about 14 months total and I've decided to change my original rating of 3 stars to 4. This is solely because of how soft it continued to make the skin on my face feel, so it was doing something right. No other noticeable changes in firmness, fine lines, tone evenness, and the few areas of hyperpigmentation from years of forgoing sunscreen.I'm no chemist but I try things out in a controlled setting over a somewhat extended period of time because I want to be able to have some baseline data to measure against. The only thing here I can't control is time so I'm not personally disappointed that I didn't notice any major improvements in my face skin. I'm sure if I didn't do anything to take care of my skin over the last year+ I'd be worse off now so the fact that I still overall look the same but with softer skin is a pure win for me.

I kid you not - this product was a godsend to my skin! I was suffering from suddenly change in skin texture and condition and I needed something that was hydrating and beneficial to my skin. After one day of use (AM and PM application), I saw immediate results! My skin immediate lost it's dull complexion and the surface of my skin became slightly more plump and hydrated. It's crazy how my skin drinks this up! Love it!

I’m an adult with combination/oily, fungal acne-prone skin and years of hyperpigmentation. I have dehydrated parts of my skin that are extremely sensitive but they’re where my darkest pigment lies. I’ve used so many serums and creams to work on lightening the darkness and usually they do nothing or work so well that they dry my skin out. I took a chance with this because the ingredients were things that previously worked well in another product but with the addition of moisture. I saw the brand and remembered I loved them — tossed it in my cart and waited. I’ve been using it for almost a week and let me tell you, my skin looks amazing. I use it in conjunction with the hyperpigmentation cream from My Topicals and I’m radiant!! I still have hyperpigmentation but it looks better? My skin didn’t burn when I applied, it didn’t itch, no anything! My face hasn’t reacted poorly at all. I could cry. It also looks like it’s helping my acne subside, too. We’ll see where this takes us!

I bought this fully believing it wouldn't work like everything my money has been wasted on in the last few years. Thought I'd give this a try because I like other Korean skincare. To my surprise it works! I used it faithfully morning and never night for 2 weeks and my crepey neck started to look much better as did my face wrinkles. I had been using Dr so an so's face oil for 2 years and it did nothing except cost $86 a pop. This is much better and it vegan. My old skin looks much better.

I love this serum but I received a bottle that expires in one month which is insane because daily use couldn’t finish in 1 month. Then I opened it and it’s bright orange which means it’s oxidised as it’s usually clear.

Product came in and the item was expired. Vendor promptly processed a return and sent out another bottle. The second bottle came in and was fine. But keep in mind: the product was labeled “manufactured 2023-12-26. Expired 2025-12-26”. So even though the product wasn’t expired, it would appear that they are selling “older” product. I guess that would explain why it was relatively cheap; I.e., costing $19 when it’s normally around $40. So just a caution: check your expiration dates immediately upon receipt. The product will still work but works better when fresher.
