I bought this as the last one I had was big and bulky I wanted something easy to fit in a drawer and had an easy slide well this one is it I wish it came in other colors but beggers can't be choosers for this great price. I like how it has the handle side can work in the slide smoothly so not slipping off the cutting area to slice your hand (like my old one)

my old slider was broken and was looking for new one. This thing is great! It cuts and slices very well. I felt nothing during the slicing But be careful. This means the knife is sharp. While scrubbing it with a dish sponge, the edge of it was cut. I don't blame it. This item works as its purpose.

Easy to use and works well. I use it to make beet, and sweet potato chips often. It's also useful for slicing cucumbers and anything with a hard exterior. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the slice holder attachment was difficult and awkward to use so I don't use it. It doesn't grip the vegetables very well imo. Be warned though that if you dont use the extra attachment, the blades are very sharp and can also slice your skin if you're not careful (which happened to me). So when you get to the very end of the food, tuck in your fingers!

Great price. Slices very well. Saving tons of time and getting awesome thing cuts very fast. Definitely worth every penny

I like the functionality of the mandolin a lot, but went to the ER with my first use. Almost sliced off the end of my thumb because the food holder is not very useful. I thought the hinge would be a great asset but it holds only one piece of food at a time. The shape of the holder wastes a lot of food. I'd like the shredder-julienne-er to be finer, but I accept as it is because the mandolin solves the problem of dangerously removing and replacing blades. It's quick, handy and easy to clean and I like the almost transparent slices of red onion and cucumber it makes for beautiful salads.

I have a large mandolin slicer, but this one is great for just cutting a few veggies. Easy clean up, easy to store. I always wear my mandolin gloves when I use it-it’s sharp!

Needs a Warning in Large Print for this item. I Cut 2 fingers on first use and wound up in the E/R! No safety gloves are included with this item. One of the pictures for this item shows person without a glove slicing a cucumber. If you are on blood thinners Do Not Use! Item immediately thrown in the garbage.

I make Julia Child's braised carrot slivers for the holidays and this slicer is perfect for that. I cut the carrots in 2" pieces and slice sideways. It has a hinge that swings over the carrot and I just slice away. It makes is so much easier and faster. Great slicer, every kitchen should have one ! Arrived on time and product better than expected. Thanks
