It’s made of aluminum, it conducts heat, be careful! But it works for what it’s for.

The valve end that went to my lantern (male thread end) would not open internal check, when lantern screwed on. Have two Primus backpacking lanterns and neither would open the internal valve. Had assumed this would have been a typical Lindal valve attachment like most stoves and lanterns. Maybe not. I ended up drilling out the internal check valve to use it. Maybe I had ordered the wrong thing. Works OK with internal check valve gone, and I just use the lantern knob to turn off etc. Otherwise seems well machined.

I like this extension piece. It raises the lantern up and looks nice at night.

Anodized aluminum is solid and well made. A tad heavy but worth it. Raises my tiny camp lantern high enough to spread the light over a larger radius. Liked it so much, I bought four more.

Great for camping and late nite lite

Good quality and a solid build. It does not leak, and the seals work really well. Received as described and does exactly what it promises. This adapter allows you to extend an EN417 valve by 9 inches.
