Klien folding ruler
Good quality. Insulated. A little stiff on the folding, but it should improve with use.

Super high quality and very well made
I did a lot of research on folding rulers and decided to spend a little extra money for a quality item. This is it! Klein Tools made such a high-quality folding ruler with very clear markings so that I know this will last me a long time. It is not fragile so that you would fear of it snapping. I rather spend more money on buying a quality item that will last me a long time rather than having to buy another one because the quality is so poor and it breaks on me.

Sturdy Construction
Easy to read numbers, will not easily break as the wooden ones seem to constantly do.This will make my third folding ruler as the first one I gave to my lead lineman lineman(powerlines) and my second one was stolen along with my entire tool bag.

Well-Made Versatile Ruler - Electrically Safe
I'm an electrical engineer and needed a ruler for work around electrical equipment. This ruler is all nylon-reinforced fiberglass and, per Klein, is non-conductive. There is a small stainless steel spring at the joint for each segment, but it's recessed and unlikely to touch anything dangerous. The ruler segments open nicely with a little effort and will snap into either 90 degree or 180 degree positions. I prefer the inside reading rulers as I am measuring against a panel surface or wall most of the time, and that means the extended part of the ruler that starts at "0" lays flat against the surface. The folded ruler is 8 inches long, 2 inches wide, and 3/4 inch thick, easily fitting into a back pocket. Being fiberglass, it's easy to clean, is waterproof, and shouldn't pick up any stains from normal use. The numbers and lines are engraved, so no chance of wearing off over time. A red stud marking is included every 16 inches. The ruler is a full six feet long; when fully extended it will bend a little if held flat side up, but doesn't bend at all if used edge-up.If used in the rain, I've found that a little moisture can be trapped when folded up, so make sure to open and dry after you're back inside.Overall an excellent measuring stick for all conditions.

Great for places that a roll up tape measure is not practical.
I really like I can unfold just part of this to measure small areas or areas above my head or some other hard to reach area. I used one of these years ago and don't know why I stopped I have this in my toll box and will probably order another one for my tool chest. This Klein looks great and folds easily . I am so impressed with the Klein tools and have never been disappointed with them.

Good product ... BUT
The new style of hinge I wasn't expecting. It holds well at 90%, but it i was very slow/difficult to open, one joint at a time. Like other wood rulers I have had in the past, in time they loosen up. A little graphite helps too.The other thing I was not expecting is the right hand read. I am right handed, and I always held my rule or tapes in my left hand and marker with my right. If you do that with this ruler, the numbers will be unside down. Not a big deal and I'll get used to it, just surprised me.I am a retired electrician. We always used inside rulers so we could lay it on pipe.Well made and I am sure it will last for many years in my wood shop.Yes I would recommend it

Almost unbreakable
Have used these rules almost exclusively over my 35 year carrier as a power lineman almost unbreakable...broke my first one this year( fell from cross arm on 55 foot pole and landed on sidewalk). Only other problem I've had with them is numbers on outside get worn off after a couple years of service. Only had to replace the one broken one ....other replacements were due to loss or theft..buy one..if you don't loose it or someone doesn't take it or you wear the numbers off in 10 yrs it will be the last folding rule you'll ever have to buy

Accurate nd almost indestructible
Had one of these for over 40 years, and then misplaced it! This one is every bit as indestructible and will serve me for the rest of my life! Outstanding product!
