Great
I ran out of my other bottle. So I found this at a great price. It arrived right on time. The smell is great and just what I expected. This is a 1.7 oz bottle. However, the bottle is the same size as the 1 oz bottle. So I couldn't tell if the amount was correct. I looked on the bottom with a magnifying glass and it stated 1.7 oz. So I am happy.

Excellent strength aroma at an affordable price!
I have used many other (expensive) colognes and the scent didn't seem to last very long until I tried this one. Not only was the scent pleasant, it wasn't weak or faded away quickly either. Great value for the price!

Smelling like my old teenage self again
Back in the late 1980s, anyone who wanted to be cool and smell like it wore Drakkar. Now that I’m in my early 50s, I need something to make me whole again. Drakkar Noir brings me back to the past with every whiff. Heaven? Probably not. Purgatory? Maybe so.

Very nice smell
This is a product that I highly recommend. The scent isn't overbearing. A small amount goes a long ways; it lasts a long time. I love the smell!

The 80s called...
What a flashback. Smells identical to the original. Spray it on and relive the glory days of the early 80s. Cons: Doesn't come with the Loverboy cassette or thin headband. Pros: Meet all the over 50 cougars you want.

Ah yes. One of the great 1980s power-sniffs, and still available, at a reasonable price. Yes, it's been reformulated, and no -it's not quite as strong. But it's still the same scent, still quite potent, still has decent longevity, and is still in that classic black glass bottle. Basically an aromatic fougere, it's quite a complex offering, the initial thunderous green woods gradually backing down into a mix of spice, leather and lavendar. If you could encapsulate the [male] scent of the 1980s, positive and negative, then this is probably the scent. It's the one many love to hate -a big success on launch, then a fall from grace and now, gradually, regaining an audience, partly for nostalgia in some buyers, partly, for others, because it's actually still very good. YSL's even more potent Kouros has a similar effect (though different scent) but recently it's become insanely expensive, difficult to find and -frankly- a little too overpowering. Drakkar Noir has stayed a little truer to its origins, and is probably the better for it. It's less familiar now than it was too, so it's easier to appreciate on its own merits. For the current prices -it's very good ideed and well worth trying if you fancy a trip down memory lane, or simply enjoy an aromatic, woody scent with quite a lot of depth.

Scent doesn't last like 35 yrs ago. Fair for it's price.
