Exceptional Quality
I make leather journal's for our summer interns every year. My needs require a binding that allows me to put them in the leather covers, one that doesn't fall apart. Northbooks notebooks fit the bill marketing a very durable book.1. Paper quality matches the quality is consistent page after page.2. Binding is secure and easy to replace when pad when need3. Size allows the cover to be large enough to be useful but not so large it requires a back pack to carry.4.. Page size is uniform and neatly cut, not like the "hand-made" current trend.5. Sourcing is consistent, delivery is quick, and answers and response time to questions are almost immediate.7. The notebooks are finally the quality I am not ashamed to put my 'cover made by stamp' on.I am usually critical of products I use, I am not easy to impress and have been looking and trying different ones for a while. Made with the highest quality material and customer service to back it up in any price range below custom specified short run printings (that did not work). This is my 4th order this year and haven't been disappointed.Neal

Love these notebooks!
I love these notebooks! Made in the USA, acid-free paper, minimalist design, with covers that can easily be labeled. 5x8 is a good size for carrying around in my laptop bag or purse and the number of pages (96) is about right too - not too thick, not too thin. The paper has a good feel under a pen or pencil. No bleed through. I'm using them for a journal and for note-taking at work.I was using spiral bound notebooks before for work notes, but I like these better - no wires to get caught up on items in my purse or laptop bag. The spine seems to be very durable. You do have to put a little effort into bending the pages initially. The college-ruled lines are perfect for me, but may be small for some people's handwriting. The paper is a nice cream color with grey lines. The kraft-paper like cover keeps it lightweight, but is stiff enough to protect the pages for the most part, as long as you don't throw a lot of abuse at it.I ordered two to start with, and immediately ordered five more to ensure my supply. Highly recommended.

Bullet Journals
I've been using one of these as a bullet journal / agenda for the past 4 months. I split the 5 pack with a friend because it was a really good price in bulk! This journal, although the cover has peeled back a little bit at this point, is awesome! It is nice and thin so it easily fits into my purse so that I can bring it everywhere I go. I have been putting one week on two pages at a time, with two pages at the beginning of the month to be used as a monthly calendar and date reminder. Just one of these journals has lasted me from mid August to now, and it seems like it will not run out of space until the beginning of February. I've tried a lot of pre-made journals before and although it takes time to trace out your weeks and months, I love the versatility and simplicity of it, and I will be buying again when I run out

They are what they look like they are.
These are good notebooks. They are small and easy to decorate if you want to, and fit easily into a stack of books so I can take notes on the go. And they look nice in a row on a shelf. They are not top-quality, but I wasn't looking for that; they aren't pretentious. They are what they look like they are, and they go with a Lamy Safari pen rather than a MontBlanc (which I also love, but not for taking notes on the subway), if that makes sense. This wasn't my first pack, and I am frequently looking for things I like better than what I'm using. I expect to buy more. I like the dots: you can use them in lieu of lines or grids and they don't mess up photocopies, should you happen to write something brilliant enough to Xerox for your friends. :) I recommend 'em.

Summoning the muse.. GO FOR IT!!
PAST:A big deception is to believe that writing will bring JOY. It is a pass-time. I don't like to write when I wish to live a life, yet it reminds me that I exist. I stack up the letters, splash the ink and feel comfortable when it works. I don't enjoy messy yet messy it gets and then... again, so: 5 NOTEBOOKS for 5 Ohana's. ... talk to me.. talk to me.. I say inside.. and yes: they talk. We speak the same language. We walk the same walk..and yet.. MORE TWO come..HEAVEN SAID SO..let's be brutally honest, who wishes to write when life is IN STAKE and awake..I NEED TO WRITEsome times..I LIKE THESE NOTEBOOKS.. not to fancy.. not to .. "expensive" I can SPLASH. and CREATE.. and LISTEN.. and WRITE..meanwhile.. I cash up my exceptionmy hopes high.. some times..low..some times..NOW I say,now it is..Let's be pleased..we still write..(am I having a b-day?actually EVERY-Y day).GO FOR IT.. GRAB IT.. THESE ARE STASHY CHICKS ON WORTHY PAGES.PRESENT:MORE WAS YET 2-co om e. Not the 5 star MIDORI smooth pages (003, 013 and planners) and LEATHER notebooks, yet Northbooks is GOOD journal. REJOICE.TIME HAS CHANGED! STASH UP... we are in LOVE.

The best of all three worlds
I was trying to find the perfect idea book when I came across these. Sometimes I need to write to-do lists, feature lists, or parts list where lined paper would be best. Sometimes I need to get rough sketches out of my head onto paper where blank paper would be best. Sometimes I need to be more exacting in my sketches where grid paper would be best. I thought about carrying a small pad of each in one holder but then I'd have to jump back and forth depending on what idea came to mind. And then I found these pads. The best of all three worlds. The dot grid pattern lends itself to all of these uses. And I like that the paper is "sustainably sourced" with some recycled content. The closest thing I have to a complaint about these is the dots are a little darker/more noticeable than I hoped.
