I really enjoy the Korean multi step skincare routine, and it's fun for me to try different combinations and ingredients to see what works best for my skin.This mugwort serum is gentle, moisturizing, and definitely helped call my skin slightly on a day when I felt a little wind burned. Overall on most days all I need is some gentle moisturizing out of a serum, and this one filled the bill. I think that it lives up to its claim of being calming, because as a landscaper I do end up in the elements and sometimes I can feel it in my skin, and this serum seemed to help push the moisture back in after a long day of meetings outdoors.Beyond that, I didn't notice any special benefits like brightening. Overall this is a pleasant and serviceable serum that is good if you frequently need a calming hit of mild redness reduction.

This serum is so gentle to where I feel like I am applying water on my face, with a watery gel serum consistency. There is practically no fragrance. It absorbs very quickly and leaves your face with a light layer of moisture. This is by no means a heavy duty moisturizer and if your skin needs a lot of moisture, you will have to layer with another moisturizer. This serum is mostly used for calming down the skin, such as if you've had too much sun exposure or if your skin is just irritated from skincare products or whatever the case may be. I was recently trying out a new skincare product and it irritated my skin so I washed it off and used this afterwards to soothe the area. It moisturized the area without feeling like I've just slathered on more chemicals. It feels so gentle and reminds me of using aloe vera on sunburnt skin. I also checked out the ingredients list and there was nothing on there that made me go "NO!" - clean, great ingredients. This product comes in a glass bottle with a pump style dispenser. This is made in Korea but there is English (ingredients and instructions) on the box so you don't have to worry about that. The expiration date is printed on both the box and the bottle, no guessing game here with confusing batch codes. I recommend having a bottle of this on standby for whenever your skin gets irritated. I wanted to try Mugwort for its barrier restoring properties. Unfortunately this arrived damaged , the plastic cap is broken & half of the bottle is missing. I am a huge fan of Korean beauty products, and never had a packaging issue when I order from YES STYLE. I did try the serum, it’s stickier than my other products from CosDeBaha or Isntree ? This product is also more expensive than the others. Disappointed 😔

This ROUND LAB Mugwort serum comes in a clear bottle and the serum itself is also transparent and the color of egg whites. It has the usual ampoule serum texture that is gel-like but still fluid. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a sticky residue. The pump dispenser works well and comes with a cap for hygiene.It's fragrance free. In addition to mugwort extract and green tea extract for their antioxidant properties, it also contains panthenol and sodium hyaluronate for hydration, and madecassoside, asiaticoside and asiatic acid for soothing.It's made in Korea. This serum was fine, but I didn’t feel the immediate soothing effects of the mugwort like I have with other mugwort products in the past. It’s lightweight and hydrating, nothing wrong with it, I just know I can get that from other products with other benefits, so I don’t think I’ll buy it again. The packaging is beautiful, though, the illustration on it is what drew me in in the first place! Lol.
