Nice little detector, it's compact size is nice.
First the small size is a nice feature. I purchased these because I wanted a detector in the basement. But since there is no one down in the basement most of the time I wanted to be sure we would hear an alert. That's where the Wi-Fi detector came in, I figured even if it wasn't heard we would be alerted on our smart devices. The connection isn't the greatest for WiFi in there basement. But with the added configuration setting if the device losses connection it will also alert you after a few minutes on your smart devices that the wifi connection has been lost. That way you are safe knowing the device is working as expected, and you can feel safe knowing you will be alerted if that changes or smoke is detected. It might be small in size but it sure isn't a small cheap speaker, that thing is very loud! If you test it be sure to let people in your house know your testing, because even the test beeps are loud and someone will think there is a problem :)Hopefully I will never need to be alerted, but I do feel safer with the Wi-Fi connection. Just an added alert in case we don't hear the basement alert signal upstairs on second floor. As far as battery life that I won't know hopefully for awhile, but it is replaceable and will alert you on low battery to your smart devices as well. It displays the battery level in the application along with any alerts or charges in a log.Might do some testing later, if I do I'll update this review.

Work great
Setup is little complicated but if you slow down and read the instructions it's actually not bad. You have to activate them all at the same time since they are all interconnected wirelessly. They self check and send a notification to your phone weekly. Would definitely recommend these.

Extremely Unreliable
These wifi smoke detectors go offline about every month to six weeks for no apparent reason. None of my other wifi connected devices do this. Clearly something wrong with the software. The only way to get them back online is to uninstall them and to reinstall them, which really defeats the purpose of this detector, which was specifically purchased for the arm in the top of my 15-foot vaulted ceilings. If I wanted to manually access this alarm I would have left my non-wifi alarm up there. I am very dissatisfied with the performance of these wifi-enable smoke alarms.

Works great, but read the info - needs 2.4G
Will not work on 5G, so be sure your router has a 2.4 G output.

Very good value
With all the current technology it doesn't make any sense to install normal smoke detectors. These are perfect when you are not in home/office. If you think they are a little bit expensive just remember what you are trying to protect with them.

The media could not be loaded.

Just what I needed!
I was looking for extra sense of security when I'm away at work and my dogs are home alone. These deliver! Easy to hookup to wifi and use check in to ensure they're functioning properly.

How to connect
If you want this fire alarm to connect the you have to have 2.4ghz WiFi and if you have both you will have to turn off the 5ghz while you set up the alarm for it to connect.
