Good value intelligent charger
Have used the charger for a short while, mainly on large capacity D cells. So far very good. Individual charging very useful and informative of the charge state.

Slightly tricky to line up batteries when loading
I bought this to replace an older EBL charger which only took 8 of either AA and AAA batteries. I like the fact that the LEDs show charging progress and also the fact that you can charge one battery at a time or any combination of 1 to 12. My previous charger had to be loaded in pairs. If I had to find any faults with it then they are that, like my previous one, there is no on/off switch so you have to physically unplug it and also the batteries are sometimes tricky to line up in their respective slots. If they are not quite straight then it won't charge. These are very minor niggles though and I would highly recommend it.

A bit awkward but cheap and effective
It's quite tricky getting the batteries inserted against very heavily spring loaded tabs - you could even hurt your fingers a bit. But it charges fast and of course 6 D-cells at once is pretty useful. Don't really know about the safety features but no obvious cause for concern and it runs cool.

Charges all battery types
This charger recharges all batteries including lithium variants. It does not however display capacity, voltage or current nor discharges batteries which is sometimes required to rectify capacity issues. The best thing about this is that it recharges As triple As, Cs , DS and 9V batteries of all makes. Itβs a good charger but does not have any of those smart features which can be had on more expensive brands.

Bought two - tested across both with same results β β
The media could not be loaded. OK I give these 5 stars because out of the box the two I purchased produced the same results. Bear in mind this is the first use so I cannot comment on the products longevity. Background for purchase:Used rechargeable batteries since NiCd days (no longer π), but my wife really likes these battery powered candles. Except it's really random which batteries work and I started to doubt the charger(s) I was using - gave up using rechargeable batteries for anything else (like a computer mouse etc)Reasons for choosing this product:The candles use two AA each (we have 6 in each house) , but with a standard 4 battery charger it was painful keeping them all charged - I was looking for an (independent - not in pairs) 12 battery charger to charge all the batteries required in one go. I do not use C/D or 9V batteries because of previous chargers and experience - the only things I have that use 9V batteries are older non-wired smoke alarms and I wouldn't chance them with rechargeable batteries - not that my older chargers had 9V capability. Also the fact that the power supply is included within the product and there is a supplied, but importantly separate (ie.e not permanently wired) "Figure 8" (IEC320C13) mains input. This means:a) You can swap the lead easily to fit the plugs in your country of choiceb) you do NOT need to purchase a separate USB power supply unlike some other competing products on Amazon - and they probably require at least 2A so add the cost to those products before you make your purchasePleasant surprises:Each independent charge point has it's own display (in 3 groups of 4) - when putting in a bunch of random old batteries into the first unit, some were flashing and the "error" message showed in that group of 4 batteries - the battery at fault being indicated by a flashing icon in the display above.I plugged in the second unit I bought and was reassured that it also identified the same problem batteries exactly (See video)Conclusion:OK I could have luckily bought 2 products from a "Good batch", but this product does it's job well - a couple of good batteries that must have somehow had a decent charge from an old charger are now fully charged (3) within an hour - OK I can't really comment about charging speed with nothing to compare with - and the others have progressed from 0>1 or 1>2But it is great to be able to weed out the rubbish ones that will never charge which was causing such a problem.Fingers crossed these will have a decent lifespan and extend the life of remaining good batteries

EXCELLENT CHARGER
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely EXCELLENT battery charger on first glance, inspection, use.Looks very smart with its LCD charge display window indicator panels situated just above the + positive end of the battery charging bays in 3 by 4 indipendent charging display windows.Personally i think it could be heavier.. Hense i do not put to much faith in its construction materiels used. To me, good weight ='s good quality.. etc etc. and the oposite to me is true also. The battery charging bays do the job, but the sliding/spring loaded -negative charging prongs seem too loose (as is not enough tension in the springs when under load..., but they somewhat nervously seem to hold the batterirs in place when situated. It is constructed of moderately passable pressure moulded plastics. (Im NOT a fan of mass produced plastic gadgets) The charging displays when activr are clear black icons on an illumineted green back light. (Looks smart)With information displayed about the state of each battery. (I have yet to test the 2 x 9volt PP3 battery charger terminals yet.I ferl it is a TAD HEAVY on its pricing fue to the lightweightedness of the unit. Β£15 would sit tight with me.I am testing the battery bays atm with 12 amazon AA batteries which arive with maybe 20% charge. So good to start a test with.I will acquire some EBL batteries to try them also and maybe run a comparitive test side by side but thats something else.I have it stood upright as you cant read or see the displays when its flat.I cant comment on how it effects battery life as that will be down to types of battery used etc.Marks out of 10 i will give it a respectable 8/10. Lost marks down to construction & over pricing.I am not unhappy with this purchase, just left with a slightly bitter taste/feeling i overpaid for something here on Amazon.. YET AGAIN.I hope you find the review unbiased, helpful & honest.(I DO TRY TO BE)Addendum.Uo uo trying out the 2 PP3 charging slots. The battery fits 2 of the hole sets. But the other 2 holes for the battery electrodes are mis-aligned. So the electrodes of the PP3 battery to be charged will not seat at all. This shows or tells me that there is NO QUALITY CONTROL. That reduces confidence in the whole item.I now only give this item 3 stars maximum or a below average of 4.5/10.Im quite disappointed if im honest.
