Where is this movement assembled?

On second thought, I presume this movement is Swiss. I used it to exactly replace the movement of a Swiss Wenger (Army) Watch marketed by Eddie Bauer. It fit, and worked, perfectly.

Does this have date at 3 o'clock? do i reuse original stem since the wind end is chrome colored?

Yes. The 515 ( Google the 515 spec. info.) is showing a date at the three o'clock position.Definately use the original crown if you can because the hard plastic one on the shipped movement is mainly for handling/shipping. It is not Inleted or cut for a case tube.
