Ford Racing 19-20 Ford Ranger EcoBoost Performance Calibration

10/10 would recommend, improved shifting so there was no more clunking into gear, improved gas mileage on the 33” tires. Went from 18-19 mpg on the freeway to 21-22 on the freeway and about 18-19 in town! Super easy install, took about 40 minutes to do its thing and about 2 weeks for the ecu to relearn everything and get the extra power

Truck feels so much better off the line even with 33s. Shifts are smooth and power is linear. I’m getting 3 more mpg on average and being able to correct my speedometer with the tire/gear feature is nice.

I bought this for my 2019 Ranger XLT that was having transmission issues. I waited until the warranty expired so the dealership couldn't argue with me if something went wrong. I had the valve body rebuilt under warranty a few years ago and things were mostly ok. But there were still issues with it lurching into 5th every once in a while. And on long trips the shifting would degrade significantly once I arrived at my destination. I'm assuming the transmission fluid was foaming causing the shifting issues after long trips. The fluid level seemed to be acceptable after being checked. So, back to the Ford Performance Tune - I bought this mostly because I heard it improved transmission performance. That it has done. Shifting is noticeably smoother and I haven't had issues with the shifting after long trips. As for the torque/horsepower increase - it's definitely there. The truck was already fast, but this tune bumps it up quite a bit. More than I would ever need. The reason for 3 stars is because my fuel economy dropped from avg. 20 in town down to around 18 and from avg 24/25 hwy down to around 22. This is even being VERY easy on it. So, while I am keeping the tune installed for transmission performance, the fuel economy has dropped significantly. If this saves me $5k from having to replace the transmission I'll be happy. We'll see....

This is a must if you have oversize tires on your ranger! Def woke it up and added extra mpg or 2

This kit is a great value and is cheaper on here than anywhere else at the time of review. Installation was a breeze and took all of maybe 15 minutes, power gains are immediately noticed and much welcome. My only regret - wish I had purchased from here rather than elsewhere online.
