Best pillow I've ever slept on
Been sleeping on this for about two months now and haven't had a single crick in my neck or any soreness or pain. When I fall asleep on any other pillows, those symptoms begin creeping back in and I realize just how good this pillow really is.Cannot recommend highly enough IF the following are true for you:You have always preferred a much more firm pillow than a soft and squishy oneYou sleep mainly on your back and sides (not stomach)You NEED strong neck support going all the way along the base of your head and to your actual neck, and don't mind the feeling of having all of that closely cradled. It doesn't feel constricting or like it is necessarily supporting the bottom part of your neck, but it is. I find it really comfortable in addition to effective at not making me wake up with pain. The package insert says it may take up to 2 weeks for you to habituate to the pillow and you may have some slight pain or muscle discomfort during this period while you adjust. I didn't experience that, but I did have a couple weeks' adjustment period. This is because you can't toss and turn as easily with this pillow compared to others, including other molded basic neck support memory foam pillows, because this one is so highly molded that there's really only one way to position yourself on it on your back, and then only one way you can fit into its 'cradle' on your side as well. So every time you move, you have to readjust where your body is on the mattress more than with other pillows, or readjust the position of the pillow underneath you, in order to still be on the part of the pillow you're supposed to be on. It was annoying and I squished my ears a lot on the tall parts that jut out on either side of the dip where your neck goes, but you do get used to it. I still move around as much as I always did, but it's second nature to readjust and not something I'm really conscious of doing anymore when I'm falling asleep, or in the night, kind of like you'll avoid resting or pulling on your own hair too hard even when sleeping. It may happen, but your body readjusts out of the uncomfortable position automatically. If this re-acclimatization period sounds too tedious for you and less structured pillows work fine, I would not endeavor to try this pillow because you'll just get frustrated with it. But if you have consistent, debilitating neck pain that hasn't been helped by anything else including chiropractors, then it's well worth your while to try this out and be patient while your body adjusts to it.I am not sure how much this matters, but I have a relatively thin neck (13 1/4 in), and wear a size M/size 7 1/8 hat (22 1/4 in head circumference). Potentially if you had a much thicker neck or bigger head, the pillow could cradle you a lot more closely/tightly, so that may affect your experience, fyi.

Not a pillow you'd want a new boyfriend to see but it's AMAZING
Having had this pillow for a few weeks now, I can safely say it's amazing. I sleep through the night with no readjusting my pillow and my sleep is deeper and more restful than ever. It was a bit uncomfortable at first since I hadn't figured out just how to position myself on the pillow but, once I got it right, it's been pure magic. I didn't notice any smell from the pillow like others mentioned but I got mine in the middle of the day and opened it up immediately so it did have a few hours to air out. (Note: It really only allows for very particular head placement so you can't really be further on either side comfortably which makes cuddling a challenge, in case that's a concern for you. This is definitely not a sexy pillow; it's all about you individual comfort. )I'm primarily a side sleeper but I will often sleep on my back. On my side, pillows were never tall enough (or sometimes too tall) for my neck to be positioned properly and it always felt like there was something missing. I kept trying to bunch up the corner because I wanted something to support my chin. On my back, I had similar issues where I would pull the bottom corners of the pillow down over my shoulders to try to get some side support for my head so my neck isn't overly stretched going left or right.I have tried so many types of pillows over the years (memory foam, down, gel, contoured, firmer, softer, etc.) trying to find my perfect pillow. I also tried a normal pillow while wearing a travel neck pillow but it was a bit much. I didn't really suffer from neck pain but would wake up several times in the night to readjust my pillow. This pillow solves all of my sleeping problems. It's a good height and the indent for your head makes it more comfortable but you can find that in any other contoured memory foam pillow. What really sets this pillow apart (for me) are the wings (?) or flanges or whatever and the tilt of the pillow. The wings give support for both side and back sleeping - giving me something to support my chin and hold on to when on my side, and keeping my head from going too far to any one side when on my back. The tilt of the pillow, bringing the wings down over your shoulders and allowing space underneath them so your head is cradled all around by pillow.
