Great for the Money. Won't Eliminate Chip Completely but Will Save Windshield!
This kit does an OK job of filling rock chips. It is worth 5 stars because it will hide a lot of the damage and keep the rock chip from "spidering" out across the windshield. My second purchase. And this last rock chip was a doozy. See the photos. The good thing is that it was located on the passenger side this time. The first one I repaired was on the drivers side and I barely notice it anymore. Follow the directions! Be thorough and don't get in a hurry. Although this one didn't hide as well, it's still a bargain at $13, compared to $65 for the pros to do it. And it saves having to replace the windshield for now. I've used a few JB Weld products and they don't disappoint. Really like the weld kit for metal. And the plastic weld kit has been awesome too. Nice that they have gone to a dual plunger dispenser for easy mixing. Do not have high expectations with this windshield kit. It does a great job but it won't erase the chip completely.
O**!
Follow the instructions, works great.
Multiple step process, read and follow the instructions and you'll get a perfect repair. I fixed a chip and slight crack, took about an hour from start to finish. TOP TIP - do the repair on a warm sunny day, helps cure the resin faster as the last step is, "Park the car in direct sunlight and let the resin cure 15-20 minutes." Cloudy day takes an hour, and a rainy day won't work AT ALL!!

I found a major flaw in the design!
I had a small star crack on my windshield from a rock and tried this product out. The instructions were straight forward until step 4, adding the resin. This is a design flaw in my opinion. At this point, we've sealed the area off with the pedestal and adhesive. The only access to the windshield crack is through the small pedestal chamber, and the chamber is filled with air at this point. The instructions say, "then add the resin". Since the chamber is filled with air, resin cannot enter the small chamber! I slightly squeezed the resin tube, and the resin pushed against the air in the pedestal chamber, couldn't go into the pedestal, understandably, but had to go somewhere. So it leaked all over the outside of the pedestal. Honestly, I barely squeezed the resin tube. The only way for resin to go in, is for air to go out. So for the people this works for, they must have an air leak somewhere. Since you're in the shade and the pedestal is opaque, you cannot confirm if resin made it into the pedestal or not. So the remaining steps of creating a low then high pressure environment with the syringe do nothing since there's no resin in the chamber when you think it is there! To make things worst, people then follow the final step of sealing the area off at the end with the resin, meaning they permanently "seal the crack in". Their crack will never be fixed until they replace the whole windshield. Read all the reviews where people say, "I followed all the steps and nothing happened". Yep! Resin never made it into the chamber because of this design and they permanently sealed their crack in. This is the same concept of when you create a small hole in a can of soup and turn it upside down. Soup doesn't fall out because air cannot go in to fill any space because the soup is blocking it.

Good results - instructions could be more specific.
Overall satisfied. The only negative is the directions don’t really specify how much resin to squeeze in - very vague, but you need to leave enough leftover to do the last step - curing strip.

SLIGHTLY BETTER, BUT NOT A COMPLETE FIX
The fix wasn't perfect. I did however make it somewhat less noticeable. I'm hoping the fix will help keep it from spreading.

Effective & not overly difficult
Saved us hundreds & our time. Instructions were clear and not overwhelming to follow. No additional cracks since filling this chip. Will update if anything changes.

Works
This stuff did what Safelite failed to do. Here is a review I left for Safelite (See below in “ “) Essentially, just buy this kit and don’t let them touch your windshield. “Simple. I submitted a claim through my insurance and was thrilled to find out the chip was covered. They put me in contact with Safelite for the repair and it was super easy to schedule the appointment. We waited a few days and when the morning came the gentleman arrived and promptly got to work. He never came to our door or acknowledged us just started the job. After the work was completed he left and we went to check to see the results. The chip looked and felt exactly the same as before the work was even done. We thought that was very strange, but knew that cosmetically it would look roughly the same, but the fact that it was still gouged and deep was concerning. A few days later the chip/crack got bigger so I contacted Safelite again and spoke with a nice guy who stated it couldn’t be repaired again and a full windshield replacement was needed. I thanked him for the time and told him I was gonna reach out to my insurance company. Overall, that didn’t sit well with me so I ordered a $10 JB Weld repair kit online. Received the kit and man what a difference. The gouge is virtually gone and smooth to touch, but since it did crack a little larger that is still visible. The fact that a cheap repair kit bought on Amazon did a much better job than a “professional” repair is sad and my disappointment is unmeasurable. It clear that Safelite just wants to perform a more expensive repair.”

It's magic. This is my first DIY for glass repair, and the glass is almost as good as new. Took me 2 days as I didn't keep the car under the sun in the last step, so I applied another layer the next day. This product is amazing ❤️ This is a highly recommended product, amazing results 👍👌
