Autopilot Analog, UL-Listed Hydrofarm TM01015D Dual Outlet Grounded Timer, White

Simple and reliable. I bought one of these and a digital version by the same company. This analog is the better of the two for my purposes (small hobby garden). Would get five stars, but the little plastic keys that you use to "program" it are very small and kind of hard to work with if you have big fingers. Still easier to set this one than to figure out how to program the digital one.

It's working well. Note that the two outlets are from the sides, which might affect you if, like me, you wanted to put this on an outlet that was between two things (bookshelves in my case) -- you won't be able to attach cords coming out the sides in that case. Otherwise it's been reliable over the first couple months of use and was easy to set up.

I mean it's analog, but simple to program and reliable. So far it's worked for my indoor garden 100%*And just for the record, the switch on the side with the clock or the T changes the timer from full light 24 hours, to timer mode. I failed to understand this at first and got really frustrated.

I bought this to cycle a lamp on and off. The red switch on the side is very loose and is hard to move into place. If you need to turn the cycle function off or on it is very dificult to tell if the switch is all the way or not. I subtracted a point because of that but otherwise it does what it's supposed to.

I snagged this cause it was one of the few that had two outlets, so your not losing a wall socket when you use it. Setting the time is a bit tedious, since the teeth are black and near impossible to see with old eyes. But once it's set up, it works great. And it's totally quiet. (I've read other timers ticked loudly, this doesn't)

I grow a lot of my own vegetables (primarily hot peppers and tomatoes) and I prefer to do so from seed. This, combined with the grow light I'd bought, definitely helps. The timer is set up for 15 minute increments - as well as a switch on the side that enables you to turn on the timer function or just have it on, period. Definitely handy and no complaints to date.

Using three of these timers for my vertical hydroponic tubes, I have three banks and use only one nutrient tank. Using these timers I can do this by having the feeding cycles at diffrent times of the days. All three at once I run out or very low on nutrients in the tank. They give you a fifteen minute cycle time which might be much for some but I use one pump and numerous feed lines so fifteen mins provide adequate feeding. Great timer, arrived super fast, GREAT PRICE

So far works great. I find mechanical timers to be much more reliable than digital timers. While it doesn't feel as sturdy as metal timers I own, this is many times less expensive and well worth the price.

My timer gets jammed up against the keys. Hard to even set the current time, as what ever is in there is getting stuck. Did not even work for one day. DO NOT TRUST THIS TIMER. I've even adjustthe way this thing hangs and is affected by gravity to try and get it to work (moved it from the wall outlet to a power bar laying flat, at different angles, everything...) and this POS does not want to work.If company does not offer replacement, will initiate RMA. DO NOT BUY! When you are trying to set up a sleep schedule for your plants and this timer fails, its gonna be a long day or night.... especially if they are photosensitive...

This item does the job, although I had trouble with the instructions. Setting it uses a really cool technology that involves pressing in these little black tabs, and it works well, but if you've never done it before, it's not too obvious how to do it, and the instructions are not terribly obvious. Also, if you have to shut it off for any reason as I do (because it is near the guest bedroom), you have to reset the timer each time. To avoid that, I plugged it directly into the outlet, followed by a power bar, and then the plug to the grow light. That way I can shut off the power bar, but the timer continues to work. When I am ready, I just turn the power bar back on.

Although the design is very simple and it's easy to adjust for a mechanical timer that accepts 3-prong plugs, I'm unable to use the unit as it doesn't keep time consistently. The timer is losing over an hour of time each day, which is unacceptable. After only 2 weeks of use it has become a worthless tool. Too bad that the timer has a quality control issue.

Works but it takes a few extra milimeters of movement for the little switch to hit the buttons insidei need it off exactly at a certain time, but it always shuts off about 5mins after, nothing I can do,its a flaw of the analog modelsif you need precision, get a digital one.

everything works as advertised. i was alittle worried that it would be complicated, this being my first one and all, but ot was very easy. instructions were good but not great. the red dial needs to cover what u dont want it to do. wish they would put that in there.overall buy it.
