Dr. Squatch Natural Deodorant for Men – Odor-Squatching Men's Deodorant Aluminum Free - Wood Barrel Bourbon 2.65 oz (1 Pack)

I am a natural born sweater, so I used to use the clinical antiperspirants. I was swayed away by 'organic' friends crying about the chemicals and how if I 'detoxed' I wouldn't really need heavy stuff. Since I got to work from home for a spell I tried to detox and make the switch. I come away with a few observations. 1. I still don't know if the other product I was using was harmful but I am suspect that my granola, tree hugging friends are full of crap. 2. Detox is bullcrap. I went without anything under my arms for more than 30 days and clean stuff for many months more and nothing really changed. I sweat and I stink. They act like they don't and they are liars too. 3. Most of the clean/organic brands are garbage, I was minutes away from going back to my clinical antiperspirant (read #4). 4. I didn't switch after finding Bravo. It is another good brand. It just left a little more residue on my shirts, hence preferring this. 5. This brand works well enough that I consider it a reasonable 'cleaner' alternative to what I did use. Not a direct replacement but reasonable enough on most occasions. 6. Rum Barrel and Citrus are the two best scents. I think the others range from ok to crap but that is my personal option. If you are going to give it a fair shot, start with one of the two scents I recommended.

This is not a paid review, I actually use this deodorant. I've been on the natural deodorant bandwagon for several years. I've tried MANY MANY brands and this one is tied for best I've tried. My pits sweat a lot and I can get pretty stinky, quick. Most natural deodorant doesn't last, if they work at all. And yes, I've followed the directions to the T. Squatch lasts all day and the scent stays with you. There have been a couple days I started smelling towards the end but nothing like other deodorants I've tried. I think my search is over. This is not the cheapest but it actually works so I'm glad for that. I'd say it lasts an average amount of time for a stick of deodorant, nothing amazing but not too fast either. I'd give it a try if you're looking for a good, natural deodorant. Their soaps are good too but I wait until I can buy them on sale. Haven't tried their shampoo, yet. Their toothpaste is great! I recommend The Squatch all around!

My whole life I have always used cheap deodorant, and I could never find a deodorant I liked that smelled really good. The last deodarant I bought was cheap and I hated the smell, so I decided to look into getting a higher quality deodorant. This was my first Dr. Squatch product that I've ever used and I am happy that I spent the extra money on this deodorant, totally worth it. It smells amazing when I start to perspire! I would describe the smell as very sweet, like vanilla bourbon or brown sugar bourbon. There was one video review I watched on this product, in which the guy said it smelled like root beer, which I agree is an accurate description. This smell could work on men and women. I didn't notice any wood or boozy scent, but that didn't bother me because I still like the smell of it. I look forward to trying some of their other deodorants and products.

Smells great, last long, non irritating, but I sweat through it a lot and it is very staining

This stuff is expensive, so I decided I'd try something just a little cheaper. I ordered the Manscape deodorant (only about $2.00 less), which looks like it was packaged in the exact same tube as Dr Squatch, just with a different sticker. The Manscape version didn't really list a fragrance, but it smelled OK, sort of like old school cologne. Not bad, not great. However, after about 6 hours of wearing it, I couldn't figure where the awful smell was coming from. I thought maybe a cat got into my truck and marked his territory. Or maybe a dog had an accident in the house. Finally realized it was ME! I went off on a trip about a year ago and forgot deodorant. I just decided just to go without and I honestly don't have much of a smell without deodorant (my own opinion). But half a day wearing Manscape, and whoa! I smelled awful! Long story short, I went right back to Dr Squatch and all is good, even after 24 hours. It doesn't stop working and it smells really awesome. It's expensive, but can't reconnect it more.

Phenomenal product that is real and healthy friendly. I feel confident and more willing to pay for a product that is user friendly. This product promotes NO ALUMINUM. Absolutely a must have if looking for no aluminum in the product. I'm more in search of no aluminum deodorant products and this is my ONLY one that buy now. The quality and the selection's of different scents are amazing. There are also soaps that have an even more wider selection of scents that are too all natural and no harmful chemicals in them like other big name brands and cheap off brands. The Dr. Squatch company is something I sat on for a while when it first came out. Finally when I seen there are amazing deals through out the year I had to try it. I even did more investigation of the product and what it truly provided. It was up my alley for soaps and deodorant. If you are looking for something safe for your skin and doesn't have any low lying harmful chemicals that innately hidden then Dr. Squatch is a must have.

Ok. I REALLY like the smell. So much that I typed like a 14 year old girl to make the point. Please let it be known. Smells great. It leaves a slick/thick goop behind that travels with sweat. Its also hard to wash off in the shower. I may be overapplying. For me, it does absolutely nothing to quell the profuse sweating I have endured my whole life. So no surprise there. If its real hot, it's just like every other deo, and it mixes with your natural hormonal scent. Not that great. XP

This product is ridiculously priced, doesn't work well and doesn't even smell decent ... it smells like any deodorant you can get for 5 bucks
