Highly Recommend!
Review: I purchased this product for my betta fish after reading it is important to keep your fish entertained so they do not get bored. While I do have a shell and rock in his tank, I think my betta could use extra intellectual stimulation. This product would be great for any owner of a betta fish that needs something new and exciting to keep him or her busy. I gave this item 5 stars because of its decorative look, easy installation, and the way my fish interacts with it. Price & Shipping This product was well worth the money. Even with shipping, the product was under $5. The quality was just was I expected. I was pleased that it arrived on time and that I was able to track the package along the way. Look This product truly looks like a natural leaf in your fish’s tank. It is lightweight and the wiring inside the leaf makes it easy to bend and shape it. I have found my fish likes it best in a slight “U” shape, giving him a place to rest in the middle. It is also helpful to tilt the leaf upward, so your betta can swim onto it and stay there easily. I would also encourage changing the shape of the leaf every so often to keep your betta interested. Installation The leaf is very easy to install. It comes with a suction cup that easily sticks to the side of any tank, big or small. I was pleased it stuck to my one-gallon tank, even though the sides are rounded. The directions recommend placing it around one inch below the surface of the water. I was worried the leaf would fall off the side of the tank when the water evaporates, but this is not the case. The suction cup can be easily moved down to reflect the water level in the tank and even sticks if it is not totally submerged. I would recommend placing it as close to the top as possible, as long as your betta can rest on it without its fins being out of the water. Interaction The most important criterion for rating this product was the way my fish would interact with it. The first day I installed it, my fish was already playing on his new betta bed. My fish frequently swims around it during the day. At night, or when he is sleeping, he rests on the leaf. If your betta fish is hesitant, I would suggest feeding him above the leaf so he interacts with it when he gets his food. In conclusion, I would recommend the betta leaf hammock to anyone considering to buy this product. My betta fish and I are very pleased with the product in all aspects.

Great. My fish doesn't use it though
This is a great product. It is very good for my fish tank. It sticks onto the wall easily; however my fish doesn't use it but it does not affect the quality of the item. It is a great product. Would recommend.

Excellent
My betta loves this leaf, how simple it is and how wondrous. I just put it in his tank last night. He was very skeptical at first- but he is with everything. When he decided that it didn't pose a threat, he would glide over it, rest briefly and then glide off. He looked very serene, like it felt very natural and relaxing for him. Although, he didn't fully "rest" on this thing, I think he might when he has time to get to know it. He didn't sleep on it overnight either, he still slept in his cave like he always has. I can tell that he enjoys it very much, and he seems more relaxed now that its in there. It also looks very handsome in his tank, I thought it would look awkward- but it doesn't at all. A note on suction: being that I'm a smartie (much like yourself) and I read reviews before I purchase something- a reviewers tip about air in the suction cup came in very handy, and makes perfect sense. You need air in the cup for suction underwater. Likewise, you need moisture in the cup for suction in air. The leafs construction is a soft silk-like plastic that has a wire running its length, it has a bulbous end where it attaches to the suction cup so it sort of "pops" in. This also made it possible to adjust the angle the leaf would go. I liked this very much. You can adjust it down, up, sideways or which ever way you want. The wire is also bendable, which is nice. I was finding it difficult to get to the best distance under the surface of the water. I tried several, and observed his reaction to it, and tried again until eventually I settled on spot he seems to enjoy- Just enough room between the surface of the water and the leaf for him to just fit. Hope this helps!

Cute beta hammock
Cute little fish "bed". I've got several fish tanks, a couple of them have a beta in them. I noticed that my large beta likes to lay across the plants and drape his fins across the decor so I wondered if he would use this, he does! Since discovering that the beta liked it, I ordered a couple more for some other tanks. Turns out the pregnant guppy mama's really enjoy it too. My only complaint is that the suction cups don't work for very long, then it constantly falls to the bottom of the tank.

I highly recommend this product
I know a lot of people probably think this product is a joke, and maybe it is. However for 4 dollars I thought I'd give it a try anyways. I was originally going to use it for its intended purpose but after moving my Betta to a new tank with a filter it turned out the current from the filter was entirely too strong for him, even on the lowest setting. I read about people stuffing the outlet pump with foam to reduce the flow but I was worried about ruining the pump doing this. Instead I placed the leaf in front of the outlet on its side so it acted like a wall. This greatly dispersed the current from the pump so my Betta could swim around much easier. This also does not block the flow from the pump at all so no worry about back flow or anything. Not only that but the leaf hides the outlet from view from the front so it looks more "natural" in my tank now with a leaf there instead of the outlet. Also the leaf acts as a curtain of sorts that my Betta seems to use as a hiding place from time to time by going behind it, even though the current is strong behind the leaf he seems to enjoy this still. I ordered a second leaf because I wanted to see if my Betta would actually rest on top of it. So far I haven't noticed my Betta doing this but other reviewers have said it could take your Betta some time to use it in that manner or some Bettas might not use it at all. I have noticed my Betta likes to swim across the top of it and hang out underneath it. He also sometimes stops to investigate it for a few seconds when he swims past it. So while my Betta hasn't actually rested on top of it yet he does seem at least somewhat entertained by it. This coupled with the current reducing effect made both purchases very worthwhile for me and I'm glad I bought two of these. I wrote the above and was about to click "submit" when I looked over at my tank and happened to notice my Betta was actually resting on top of part of the suction cup that the leaf connects to. So still no laying on top of the actual leaf but maybe someday now that he realizes he can rest near it. UPDATE: Figured I'd update my review to mention that I have seen my Betta lay on top of this leaf several times now. He does indeed look like he's just resting on top of the leaf.

Great product
Of all the stuff I've tried to get my bettas interested in, this is the only one that consistently works. They sleep on them, and it's just the right size for a full grown male betta (it's almost twice as big so they have plenty of room to wiggle). It's a bit big for the females, so you have to put it closer to the water's surface to allow them to enjoy it (otherwise the filter flow at the surface will sweep them off it, even just a small flow). I read a really bad review of one of these that mentioned a metal thing on the end of the leaf (the end you stick into the suction cup) which gathered rust and when she tried to fix it, spewed a bunch of nasty, rusty liquid out into the tank water. Well, either she bought a different product, or the same makers have since resolved that problem and made their product better. The only metal in this product is safely confined within the leaf's plastic, another great feature that makes the leaf bendable. If your bettas keep sliding off the leaf, just tilt it upward a bit; problem solved! If they get stuck or seem like they're always struggling to get off of it, tilt it downward to make it easier (especially for the bigger ones like king bettas). The suction cup works really well and so far I have not had a single one fall down. In fact it's quite hard to get off to clean the tank; what I do is push the middle of the suction cup toward the tank to flatten it out, then get some tweezers and stick them in between the tank and the suction cup to pry it loose.
