Scumbug Oil Absorbing Sponge 4 Pack

We got one of these with our hot tub purchase two years ago. It works very well!! Time to replace it and was happy to find the identical item on Amazon

There are a couple brands out there and these are just better. One lasts about the whole season, this obviously depends on how much you use your hot tub and if you go in your hot tub as a sweaty beast.You cant clean them so just toss it, also dont squish it and play with it, it will float the whole season.

Ok first off im using these in a pool not hot tube. And they are AMAZING! Kids getting in and out and sunscreen being reapplied over and over throughout the day. The pool had a film amd was cloudy. These are great. They definitely do thier job. Here is my reason for 4 stars though. They could use a more attractive shape. They also get very yucky looking quickly to go with the shape. Which thats fine if they washed out like it says. I do not find these reusable. I can reuse it for about a week to 2 weeks depending how much the pool is used. And thats squeezing ans washing it out everyday. So using in a pool they dont last long. But I have not found anything that beats these so I do keep on buying them

This brand and type does not disintegrate. They may be a bit more costly, but they hold up well, absorb oils. I give them a squeeze outside the hot tub to eliminate some of the oils and rinse them out.

So glad I discovered these. The bottom of my pool was slippy-slidy and it was pretty gross to think about why. Added one of these and the next time the pool was back to a normal grip at the bottom!

I tried using these but not sure if they actually work. No discoloration or apparent oils on the scumbugs. We'll see how it goes, I don't think it hurts to use anyways.

It seems like a lot for two sponges, but these are SO MUCH BETTER than the cheaper alternatives. After having and using these for a full year, cleaning them and washing them periodically, I decided to replace them with a big bag of cheap flamingo sponges. BIG MISTAKE! Those ones deteriorated within weeks. Yes, I had a full bag of them, but they would fall apart and get stuck in the filter. I just bought my second package of these with the confidence that they're going to last a long time.

How do you rate a Scumbug? It works. Been using them successfully for years. Alternate cheap brands are garbage in comparison.
