It's such a pleasure these days to unwrap something you have just ordered, and be pleasantly surprised at its unexpectedly great quality. That was the case with this Olanly toilet rug. The rug arrives trussed up in a tight cylinder. When first unrolled, it appears deeply creased. I figured the rug would take a day or so to flatten out, but the wrinkles vanished pretty much immediately. I wasn't expecting this rug to be as plush and luxe-feeling as it is. There is a lot of padding to it, so there is a good amount of cushioning under the nice velveteen fabric. It feels really really nice on bare feet- so cushy and soft. For an inexpensive rug, it’s decently constructed. Personally- I don’t think I would wash this rug in very hot water or put it in the dryer. But that’s just me. The rug got pretty wet the other day during an unintended parting of the shower curtains incident, and we draped it over the back of a chair, and it dried in no time. I’ve found that if you keep things out of the dryer, it tends to give them a longer life. I shopped around extensively before purchasing this rug. There are cheaper rugs available at a certain big box store that starts with “W,” but for only a couple of dollars more, this toilet rug far exceeds those in quality. It’s not flimsy; it doesn’t slide around; it’s nice and plush; it’s substantive; and it looks really nice. In fact, I’m just about to order another one. Highly recommended.

This bathroom mat is very soft and padded, it feels excellent when you get out of the shower. It absorbs water well and does not move, which gives a lot of security. The material is of good quality and the design combines easily with any bathroom. It is easily cleaned and keeps its shape. Excellent purchase, I totally recommend it.

I rec'd this today and almost gave it a 5 star rating. The only reason I did not is becuause I have to be honest. I love the color, I love the memory foam feel under my feet. It is very soft, and I will measure it again, but it sure seems smaller than It appeared to be. As for the 4 star rating, when you look at the photograph you can see the areas that are sewn to give those nice looking plumped up areas you stand on. I do not see those on mine. I realize these may surface after its had some time to fluff up. It was vacuum sealed. I am actually hoping it does because it just looks so much better that way. But if it doesn't, I will still use it and enjoy it and I am sure it will keep my feet nice and warm which is what I am after. Thank you for shipping it so fast. So far really am enjoying it. And would recommend.

I’m really impressed with this black bathroom rug. The quality is excellent — it feels soft and comfortable under your feet, but still absorbs water very well after a shower. The non-slip backing works perfectly, keeping the rug firmly in place even on smooth tile floors.

Updated to 5 stars! After a wash or two shape evened out and comfortably absorbent. Resists spots, still looks like new after plenty of daily use. Washes easily, for dryer used gentle and then finished hang dry. Would highly recommend and would buy again … but probably not soon because this one looks like it will last. Original review: Very pleased - we bought dark beige. This rug is thick with a luxurious nap. It’s wider (24”) than some others which is what we learned we wanted. Previously returned a narrower version of a similar item that was an Amazon recommendation. That was nice too but just 20” wide. The extra width makes a difference when getting out of shower and standing at sink. Doesn’t slide around either - we have it on a designer stained concrete floor with glossy finish. Be sure to measure your area or current rug before ordering - that would have saved us time and the need to return other items. Delivery for this rug was estimated about two weeks compared with others that arrived in just a day or two (although now site seems to show a faster delivery). The wait turned out to be worth it. We ended up returning the others anyway and this one did arrive a bit sooner. Giving four stars instead of five because of just a couple of small negatives: • It is slightly misshapen from shipping but hopefully will straighten after first wash. Already seems to be straightening. Other reviews with pictures show the same thing. • Not super-absorbent right after getting out of shower, maybe because of the plush finish. Some beading of water from wet feet … but that may change after washing too. There may be a light coating on the fabric which keeps it looking clean and new. Probably best to wash in cold water and dry on cool or just hang dry to preserve finish and protect non-slip backing. Color (dark beige) is especially nice, a rich warm tone. Other beige ones seem much lighter. Fabric has a nap - looks lighter from one direction and darker from another - nice option if you are color matching. This rug still looks fresh and clean after several weeks of regular use and doesn’t seem to trap dirt or shows spots. Ours is a busy bathroom used all day long after showers but also coming and going and wearing shoes. Looks clean even though it’s a light color, and continues to look new, not showing wear or tracking at all - seems like it should last a long time. Would recommend and plan to buy again.

It's a great value - the cost compared to the quality is worth it. With that said, even though it looks great, and the color was spot on, and the build seems good quality, it does a pretty bad job of soaking up the water and takes a bit longer than some mats I've owned to dry out. I'm a big guy, so it immediately squishes completely flat when I step on it, and just feels like a thick piece of cloth on the ground, but if you're on the smaller side, I think this would feel pretty luxurious for the price.
