As always Eleanor Burns writes out the patterns with detail. They are descriptive and easy to follow with sufficient illustrations and explanations. You'll get information that will take you beyond to use with other patterns. Quilt in a day it is not for completion however, the quilts are desirable.

I am fairly new to quilting (about a year now) but I loved this pattern immediately when I saw it on Quilt in a Day/PBS. The patterns are not too complicated for beginners and the instructions are very clear. I would say the main thing is to have space to lay out your strips and be careful with your placement. If you follow instructions you’ll be fine- it looks harder than it is.
