We used this to hatch? some butterflies at home! My kids loved it.This one is pretty small though. I might get a bigger one if we decide to do it again but it was so fun!Insect lore shipped it really fast and it came in the same package as my caterpillars. The top doesn’t open all the way so if you have larger hands, it may be hard to feed them.

I feel like I always lose my nets when I get caterpillars in the spring. This one was small but it got the job done. It could hold 2 cups of caterpillars. Easy to open and clean.

I bought this for my grandkids. I thought it would be a great learning experience, seeing how the caterpillars became chrysalids and then butterflies. HUGE HIT!!!! The kids absolutely loved it and checked every day to see if they had butterflies yet. Once the butterflies hatched, we gave them a few days and then released them into our greenhouse. The kids still go out every day to see their butterflies. I would recommend this for any children who are interested in science, bugs, butterflies, or just for a unique and personal learning experience. It would also be great for teachers in their classrooms.

I ordered caterpillars from Amazon for years but I accidently got rid of my old net so I ordered this one to use.. when it arrived it was bent, I wasn't able to straighten it back out.. It was small which I expected because it says mini .. had it not been bent I think it would've worked just fine for the caterpillars.
