Big Bad-Ass Book of Shots

Great gift, just not used often.

So I'm not really sure why some people are complaining about the size of this book. I saw one review where the buyer was afraid it would get lost in the couch. Yes this book may not be very tall or wide (maybe 4 by 5 inches) but it is THICK it's probably 2 1/2 inches thick and if this bad boy gets lost in the couch then your couch is just too big! My only complain is the organization of the book. The alphabetical order is nice but it would be better if it were split up by main type of alcohol. For example, I have a lot of rum left over from a party and I would like to know some shots that contain rum. While its fun to just read through the shots it would be more convenient if I could look up "shots with rum" or something similar. Overall though this book is a great buy with great content!

My best friend is a bartender and also general manager at a local bar. The bar has been floundering lately and has had limited inspiration for shots and other drinks that would re-invent a bar scene for the local college students. He is excited to start trying some of these shots - there are thousands of ideas and recipes and they come in a small, portable handbook. The book was a little smaller than I expected, but it didn't reduce the value of the purchase at all. Unless you are buying this for someone within the liquor industry, it may reach a little bit over their head - there are a lot of recipes in here that you would have to buy special ingredients for and may only use every once in the while. I would purchase again!

Gift for a coworker/friend. She's always telling me about the yummy shots her and her friends are always drinking and so I grabbed this for her to find a new one... Or ten! It's a great book loaded with shot recipes. She really enjoyed this book.

Bought this for my stepdaughter’s 21 birthday present. I did take a look at it before giving it to her. This book is awesome. So many fun tasty shot recipes. She almost didn’t get it. I was thinking about keeping it. Great for parties or speciality shots for holidays. Pretty sure I’m going to buy myself one because I’m sure she won’t share with. Very well thought out, making it easy to find shots alphabetically or according to alcohol in them. There are a wide variety with interesting to funny to downright gross titles. It has all your basic tried and true shots, some that have different names than I remember, and others I just want to try. Sure, you can look these all up on the internet, but it's so handy to just have it right there. Put it on the bar, and you're ready to make anything. The worst thing about this book is you're going to want to buy a lot more alcohol!

say you have a drink with 4 shots in, all this book does is replace the order of the shots and changes the name, total random shots that as soon as you read them you know its not going to be any good

This is one big book of shots and it is pretty bad ass, it will take a while to work my way through it but I'm up for the challenge who's with me!!!

Bought as a gift. I liked that it organized by name in the contents but had an index in the back of ingredients
